"And now for the last announcement this morning. Running for student council is now officially open! Put up those posters and get your voice out! Voting will begin three weeks from now. Remember to take into consideration all candidates, not just your friends. Class will now start. Thank you for your attention." The PA system clicked off, leaving just the sound of buzzing voices.

"Are you going to run?" Both boys on either side of Mira asked her.

"Probably. Gotta hustle for that college credit," she flashed dual peace signs, trying to act like a cool skater kid.

"Which position?" Kino asked.

"Secretary, probably."

"I'm definitely running for vice president. If something goes wrong somehow, the blame will be placed on the president, not me, and then I can take over." Wooseok rubbed his hands evilly.

"Wow. That's some plot," Kino half-chuckled.

"I know, right! Absolutely nothing can go wrong." Wooseok cackled at the thought of all the high school political power he would gain.

"You sure about that?" Kino asked doubtfully.

"100 percent."

"I think I'm going to run for treasurer," Kino said.

Mira and Wooseok turned to him, surprised.

"What? I don't really have anything better to do."

"That's fair," Mira replied.

The girls in front of them disapproved of Kino's decision however. One of them turned around and said snarkily, "Wait, Hyunggu's running for treasurer? Is anyone even going to vote for him?" She took no notice of the fact that he was right there.

"He's right here," Mira pointed out.

"Oh, he is? Didn't notice. Well, Hyunggu, good luck running." The girl giggled meanly and turned back around.

"Honestly, she's right," Kino commented. "I do have a pretty bad reputation, don't I?"

Mira tried to interject. "But-"

"No matter how many times I apologize, everyone's just going to know me as the Kang Hyunggu who had the wildest parties and was a total... what do they call me again? Right, 'playboy'. Or 'womanizer'. Or 'dic-'"

"Hey, not on my Christian Minecraft server!" Wooseok interrupted.

"Sorry," Kino said sheepishly. "But anyway, you get my point, right? I don't think anyone wants someone as terrible as me to make decisions for the students. 'Hey guys, a new rule's in order. Parties at my aunt's mansion every Friday instead of school!'" He mocked.

Mira was irritated now. "Shut up. Do you even know what you're saying?"

Kino shrugged. "Who cares?"

"I do. Wooseok probably does." She looked at Wooseok for confirmation, and he quickly nodded. "You've changed now. You're still a huge asshole, but not as much as you were before."

"Wow. Thanks," he said sardonically.

"I'm serious." On a whim, Mira suddenly raised her voice. "Hey, everyone! Listen up!"

All the kids in the class looked over at her.

"I know Kino -- I mean, Hyunggu-ssi -- has done a lot of terrible things in the past, like, a lot of terrible things, but he's changed now. I-I know he's the least popular candidate at the moment, a-and honestly, a lot of you really don't want someone as bad as him leading the school, which I totally understand-"
