Mira wasn't normally a procrastinator, but today was an exception.

When her alarm sounded that morning, she hit the snooze button almost immediately and pulled her duvet over her head, snuggling deeper into her little blanket cave.
And the rest of the morning wasn't any different. Mira refused to shower, refused to eat, refused to comb her hair until the very last minute. She took extra long debating the pros and cons of what tie to wear, and "accidentally" messed up double-knotting her shoes. All of this led to her and her mother getting stuck in rush-hour traffic.

"Aish, Mira, what's gotten into you today? No drive whatsoever. I have a major client meeting today at 8:00, but you couldn't even put on your shoes properly. It's probably that girl Seohee. I told you too many times, she's a bad influence."

Mira interrupted her mother's ranting. "Ma, Seohee didn't have anything to do with it. I guess I'm just out of the loop today."

Her mother tsked. "Out of the loop. Out of the loop! See, this is the problem with today's generation." She huffed. "'Out of the loop', my ass."

"Sorry, Mom," Mira mumbled.

Fifteen minutes later, Mira hurtled out of her mom's BMW and into the school as fast as she could. The five-minute warning bell had already rung, and as much as she wanted to avoid the awkwardness around Kino, she prioritized avoiding the hall monitors and their tardy slips.
Unfortunately for our protagonist, she could only choose one.

"Ms. Lee, fancy seeing you here. What are you doing out here in the hallway when class already began?" asked Wooyoung, the hall monitor best at his job. No one could be more exact, more diligent, more annoying.
Fortunately for our protagonist, he also had a crush on her, and she was fully aware of the fact.

Mira mentally prepared for what she was about to do. She looked down, then looked up at Wooyoung through her lashes. "Wooyoung-oppa, can you let me go in just this once?" She held up one finger next to her cheek.

She saw him visibly soften a bit, face tinting a pale red, but Wooyoung didn't budge. "Sorry, Mira, but it's 7:33, and class has been in session for 3 minutes, I have to write you up."

The mere fact that he apologized spurred Mira on even more, for the school's top hall monitor would never apologize. She pouted, making her eyes as big as possible. "Oppa~ Can't you just let it slide~~"

Wooyoung gulped. "W-well... not exactly..."

Mira leaned into him, placing her hand on his chest lightly. "Please?" she said softly.

Wooyoung, flustered, stepped back quickly. "O-okay. Okay, fine. Go in. Quickly."

"Thank you!" Mira quickly pecked him on the cheek and ran into class as subtly as possible, leaving an euphoric Wooyoung behind.

Her usual seat next to Kino was taken today, but Mira was fine with it, happy in fact. Instead, she sat next to Wooseok. "Hey," she greeted.

Wooseok looked like he was trying not to laugh.

"What?"

"'Wooyoung-oppa~'" he mimicked in a high-pitched voice, then burst into laughter.

Mira turned beet-red. "You saw that?" she hissed.

"If you haven't noticed, I have a perfect view of the hallway. Also, the walls are pretty thin. Pretty sure the whole class heard you. All of us were studying silently 'til you came along with your 'oppa~' this and 'oppa~' that."
