Brooklyn
Kane took me back to his bus and gave me a blanket to get warm with. I was sitting on the couch and looking at my hands. I knew I couldn't stay long, Kane probably doesn't want a burden of a girl like me to stay around too long. I stayed until the show was over and when Kane can back to the bus I got up and tried to walk past him.
"Where do you think your going?" Kane asks
"Back to my little make shift home." I replied
"I'm not leaving you here" Kane says and guides me back to the couch
"Why would you wanna take me in?" I ask
"Its the middle of winter and like negative 10 degrease outside and you need a nice caring person to take care of you, that person is gonna be me." Kane says
"Fine, I'll stay" I say and lay down on the couch
"Good, now how dose pizza sound?" Kane asks
"Sounds amazing." I reply and lay down on the couch and fall asleep
Dream
"Brooklyn get your ass down here!!!" My dad yells
I run down the stairs
"Yes sir" I say
"I asked you to make dinner and load the dishwasher when you got home" My dad says
"Sorry sir I forgot, it won't happen again I promise" I reply in fear
My dad starts kicking, slapping, and hitting me as I scream.
Kane
I was watching Brooklyn and attempting to cook a pizza at the same time when I heard Brooklyn scream, I looked over and saw her tossing and turning on the bed with tears running down her face. I ran over to her and tried not to get hit by her flailing limbs.
"BROOKLYN WAKE UP" I yell and she wakes up
I wipe the tears off of her face
"I... I burned the pizza" I say
"Thank you" Brooklyn says
"For what?" I ask
"For taking me in" Brooklyn replies quietly
I hug her and kiss her forehead
"No problem, sweetie" I say
