Brooklyn
I knew exactly what I was going to do. After Lauren and I got back from shopping it started raining so I looked up the weather and its supposed to storm all night tonight. Kane was cooking dinner and its already dark outside and its December 21.
1 hour later
"Brooklyn, Lauren dinners ready" Kane calls from the kitchen
"Coming." I say getting up
I walk into the kitchen and fill my plate then sit down at the table as Lauren and Kane do the same. Thunder cracks and Lauren jumps in her seat.
"Scared of storms?" I ask
"Yeah" Lauren replies
"Hey Kane" I say
"Yeah Brook?" Kane asks
"I think Lauren should spend the night" I say
"Why?" Kane asks
"Well you wouldn't want Lauren to drive home in a storm when you know she's scared" I say and hug Lauren
"Yeah, you wouldn't want anything to happen to me would you." Lauren says
"Fine but we're having a movie night, Lauren I'll give you one of my shirts" Kane said
Lauren mouthed thank you to me and I have her a thumbs up. I ran upstairs and changed into my pj's.
I came back down stairs and saw Lauren sitting next to Kane.
"Let's get these movies started" Kane says and puts It in
"Kane you know I hate this movie" Lauren says
"Yeah, I do to" I say curling up on the other side of Kane
"So I was thinking that tomorrow we could decorate for Christmas" Kane says
"I haven't celebrated Christmas in years." I say
"Well then we'll have to make this the best Christmas ever." Lauren says as she lays her head on Kane's shoulder
"I love my girls" Kane says wrapping his arms around us
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Well I found you and took you in and Lauren we've been friends since forever" Kane says
"Yes we have" Lauren adds
