Kyle gulps as his drink is slowly filled. "No, I haven't."
"So...?" Dante asks, unamused. "What are you waiting for?"
It's the small moments that makes Kyle want to curl up and die.
It's the mellow, nervous feeling he gets as he unlocks his phone.
It's the screen showing Luke's number with the contact name, 'Cute Barista Guy'.
It's Kyle's fingers hovering on the call button except it stays there.
It's the myriad of thoughts swarming his head, thinking of the many, many scenarios that could play out in a single phone call.
He's overthinking it, and Dante just can't take the suspense any more.
So he hits Kyle on the shoulder. "Jesus, just call him already."
"I know."
Closing his eyes, Kyle presses 'call'.
