Nothing was the same after Y/n had her nightmare, after her talk with Lin and Harry. She was called to his office the next day, and Y/n had some idea what he wanted to talk to her about. He told her the things Y/n already had heard from Lin, and she told him that she already knew.

It was breakfast and Y/n sat with James, Roxanne and Rose at the Gryffindor table. She was telling them how she had talked to Harry and how much it had helped her, even though some of it was a lie. Y/n did not tell them about the shadow monster and Lin. "James?" Y/n asked, she tried to get his attention but he was busy doing something she couldn't see. He looked up and asked "what?", she felt like he was annoyed at her. "I just wanted to know if you wanted to join me for a prank with Dean, Charlie and Adam. But if you are going to act that way, I don't think you should join us" Y/n said, she looked at Roxanne and Rose but they didn't seem to notice James odd behaviour. Jame sighed and his eyes locked with Y/n's "I'm sorry, I just have a lot on my mind. Maybe pranking will help me take my mind of it" James said and smiled, Y/n nodded and clapped her hands in happinesses. She had missed pranking with James, it was kind of her fault too. She had been so busy tutoring Ben, busy with the mystery boy in the tower and the shadow monster, that she had no time for her friends. Y/n stood up and walked to class by herself, humming to herself as she strolled through the halls, like she was in her own small bubble. It was the bubble Y/n always disappeared to when she got lost in her own world, Y/n stopped humming when she heard steps behind her, rapidly she turned around and looked straight into the eyes of her best friend Albus Potter, he was looking down but Y/n could still see a hint of red on his cheeks. "Why didn't you tell me you were behind me?"
Albus blew his hair away from his eyes but the locks fell right back to place. "I wanted to listen to your voice" Albus mumbled but looked up when Y/n didn't answer, he saw the redness on her cheeks and wondered if the reason her cheeks were red was because it was hot in here, or was it because of what he said. Y/n didn't know how to answer that, "oh, okay. Where is Scorpius?" Y/n asked, she changed topic just to avoid talking about it. Albus looked behind him "he was supposed to be here, he was with me when we heard you humming" Albus said, but Scorpius was nowhere to be seen. "Maybe he went to class?" Y/n suggested, even though it was the last thing Scorpius would do, especially without Albus and Y/n. While they were talking Y/n heard a enchanting melody, no one was singing or saying the text. It was just humming, it was the same song Y/n had hummed to before Albus came. Even though it was just the melody could Y/n hear the lyrics in her head:  make believe I'm everywhere
Given in the light
Written on the pages
Is the answer to a never ending story

She felt herself get lost in the melody and turned around without noticing it, around the corner came a blonde haired boy, lost in his own world by humming to himself. Y/n first got back to herself when she realised who the person was. "Thank you Y/n, now I have that song on my brain" Socprius said, but Y/n could tell he was ironic. "Sorry, I didn't know you were listening" Y/n said and continued to walk to her first class, even though Albus and Scorpius wasn't in her class, they walked with her to Potions. Before Y/n walked in she turned her head around and said "can you meet me in the clocktower during our break?it's important" Y/n said but she didn't tell them what the importing thing was, only she knew. In class today they were learning about flying seahorses, known for their ability to fly when provoked. Y/n had only heard about seahorses, but she learned that flying seahorses was just a magical variant of seahorses. It felt like the time had stopped and life wasn't moving forward, was it because Y/n was extremely impatient and just wanted to skip to her break, so she could talk to Albus and Scorpius. But after an extremely long first period had Y/n her first break, she took the way up to the Gryffindor common room and into her own dorm. Everything was like it always was, there was books on the floor together with a lot of school equipment and notes, but Y/n wasn't there to look at that, she was in her dorm to take the letter and the book with her. To make sure that nobody could unlock it, Y/n locked it with a key, cast a spell so that magic wouldn't work to open it. The entrance to the clocktower led Y/n to the clocktower where she sat down in the windowsill and waited for Albus and and Scorpius to come up. Y/n started to wonder wether she should start with the journal or the letter, but before she had decided was Scorpius and Albus already there. "What is the important thing you wanted to tell us?" Scorpius asked and him and Albus sat down on the floor, looking up at Y/n. First Y/n took out the book, the yellow book. Tracing the sides with her fingers, she showed them a old and dusty book. So when opening it a smell of a never opened attic filled their noses. Y/n turned to the first page, the backside of the cover. It read: to my beautiful daughter Y/n Thompson
To my loving son Y/b/n Thompson
