Today is the day that Rudy's cousin Sophie comes to visit Rudy and Penny in their Boston apartment. Her mother Aunt Tillie who's Millie's sister, Joe's sister-in-law and Rudy's aunt was gonna drop her off at their apartment so she could help Penny with looking for a wedding dress.
"Have fun with Rudy and Penny sweetheart." said Aunt Tilly as she pulled up to the apartment.
"I will Mom." said Sophie as she unbuckled her seatbelt.
"I'll pick you up in three hours." said Aunt Tilly as she unlocked the car door.
"Ok bye I love you." said Sophie as she hugged her mother goodbye.
Aunt Tilly drove away and Sophie walked inside the apartment.
She took the elevator up to the third floor and walked down the hallway until she saw Rudy and Penny's apartment.
She saw the number 32 and knocked on the door.
Seconds later, Rudy went to answer it and gaved his younger cousin a huge hug and kiss.
"Hey Sophie! How's my favorite cousin?" asked Rudy.
"I'm great Rudy. I'm here to help Penny find her wedding dress." said Sophie as she sat on the couch.
Penny came in from the kitchen with a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies.
"Hey Sophie. You excited about looking for dress ideas?" asked Penny.
"Yeah." said Sophie as she picked up a cookie.
"I'll leave you girls alone. I'm gonna go to ChalkZone and talk to Snap about coming to the real world wedding." said Rudy as he got up from the couch and into his art room.
"You sure that's a great idea Rudy?" asked Penny.
"Yeah when Snap was in Mr. Wilter's classroom 12 years ago while I was getting beaten up by that Sumo Wrestling Octopus in ChalkZone. You told everyone in class that he was a foreign exchange student from Greenland." said Rudy.
"I suppose you're right honey. Mr. Wilter and Reggie Bullnerd know him as Snap White the foreign exchange student from Greenland. Let's hope Reggie doesn't try to beat up Snap like he tried to do on the playground." said Penny as she picked up a bridal magazine.
"I talked to him a month ago on the phone and he changed a lot since fifth grade." said Rudy.
Rudy said goodbye to the girls and went into his art room.
Penny and Sophie looked at magazines that were sitting on the coffee table to look for inspiring ideas for Penny's wedding dress.
Hours later, Penny saw a beautiful snow white strapless ballgown in her bridal magazine and was instantly attracted to it like a magnet to metal.
"This is the dress." said Penny as she took a sticky pad and stuck it on the dress.
"I couldn't agree more." said Sophie.
The girls decided to go to the Something New bridal boutique to buy the dress.
A saleswoman came up to Penny and Sophie and said hello to them.
"How can I help you today?" asked the saleswoman.
"I'm very interested in trying on this dress from your catalog." said Penny as she showed the saleswoman a picture of the dress with the small sticky pad on it.
"That's our most popular choice. Follow me." said the saleswoman.
She took the girls to the area where all the dresses were hanging up.
Penny saw the dress and went to try it on in the dressing room.
Five minutes later, Penny came out of the dressing room and saw herself in the mirror as she stood on the white pedestal.
"You look exquisite." said Sophie.
"I can't believe that's me." said Penny as she dried a tear from her eye.
"Are you saying Yes to the Dress?" asked the saleswoman.
"I'm saying yes to the dress!" shouted Penny.
Just then Penny saw a long lacy veil and ocean blue garter and decided to pair it with the dress and it was perfect with her dress.
The girls went up to the counter and paid for the wedding dress, garter and veil.
They went back to Penny's car and put it in the trunk.
"Where you gonna put the dress and veil?" asked Sophie.
"Good question. I could ask my mom to keep it safe at her house until the wedding. I'm gonna sleep over there anyway because Rudy can't see me twenty four hours until the wedding." said Penny as she backed out of the parking lot.
Penny took out her cellphone and called her mom and asked her to keep the wedding dress at her house until the wedding day.
Fifteen minutes later, Penny hanged up the cellphone and was relieved.
"What did your mom say?" asked Sophie.
"She said yes and was gonna come over next weekend anyway to see me. So I figured kill two birds with one stone which is spend time with my mom and get the dress out of sight before the wedding." said Penny.
"Sounds like a good reason to me." said Sophie as she reapplied her mascara.
The two girls drove back to the apartment where Sophie saw her mom's car parked outside the apartment.
"See you soon Penny." said Sophie as she got out of the car and into her mother's passenger seat.
"See you Sophie and we're going bridesmaids dress shopping with my cousins as soon as you get out of school next month." said Penny as she waved goodbye to Rudy's cousin.
Penny went up to the apartment with her wedding dress, garter and veil and decided to put the box from the store in the top shelf of her side of the closet.
"There that's finished. Now I have to find a mother of the bride and groom dress for Millie and Mami, bridesmaids dresses for my cousins and maid of honor dress for Sophie, plan my bridal shower and bachelorette party." said Penny as she looked at her checklist.
