Chapter 25: Wedding Preparations

It was five o'clock in the morning and today was Rudy and Penny's wedding day.

Penny's twin cousins and Rudy's younger cousin Sophie were still asleep in their sleeping bags in the living room.

The alarm on Penny's cellphone went off and the entire bridal party woke up instantly.

The girls started getting changed into their silk bathrobes with their names on the back.

"You ready for the big day?" asked Isabella.

"Yeah I am." said Penny.

"Breakfast time girls." said Dr. Sanchez as she called from the kitchen.

The girls went in the kitchen and saw a huge stack of pancakes with orange juice, bacon, coffee and oatmeal.

"Thanks Tia Rosa." said Roxanna.

After breakfast, Penny went upstairs to take a shower in the bathroom.

Ten minutes later, Penny put on a pair of gray sweatpants, pink t-shirt and black slip-on shoes so she'd have something to wear when her cousins were washing her hair and doing her makeup.

  Roxanna was putting Sophie hair in a half-ponytail while Isabella did her makeup.

She put silver eyeshadow on her eyelids, pink blush on her cheeks, mascara on her eyelashes and pink lipstick on her lips.

"There all done." said Roxanna as she put the hairspray on Sophie's hair.

Sophie got up from the chair and walked over to the mirror on the wall to see herself.

"Thanks girls I love it." said Sophie.

Penny came down the stairs and went into the living room where Isabella and Roxanna had all their hair and makeup supplies.

"Ready to be beautiful?" asked Isabella.

"Yes." said Penny.

Roxanna took Penny in the kitchen and washed her hair in the sink.

She used watermelon scented shampoo and conditioner in Penny's hair.

Penny told Roxanna that she decided that her hair for her wedding day was gonna be curled with a curling iron.

Twenty minutes later, Roxanna finished Penny's hair and Isabella went over to Penny to do her makeup.

Isabella put silver eyeshadow on Penny's eyelids, pink blush on her cheeks, mascara on her eyelids and pink lipstick on her lips.

"You look stunning." said Isabella.

Penny looked at herself in the living room mirror and was happy with how her makeup turned out.

Sophie looked at the time on her cellphone and it said it was eight o'clock and the wedding was at eleven.

"We better get ready to go to the church. We can get changed in the dressing room." said Sophie as she put her cellphone in her purse.

Dr. Sanchez came downstairs with Penny's wedding dress, veil, shoes and garter

"Here you go sweetie." said Dr. Sanchez as she gaved the wedding things to Penny.

"Thanks Mami." said Penny.

"I'll be at the church in a few minutes. I have to find your surprise for you to wear with the dress." said Dr. Sanchez.

"Ok. We'll see you at the church Mami." said Penny as she hugged her mother.

The bridal party got in Penny's car and started to drive to the church.

Meanwhile, Rudy and Snap were in Rudy's childhood bedroom getting the wedding rings.

"You ready to tie the knot Bucko?" asked Snap.

"Yeah I've been waiting for 12 years." said Rudy as he got his car keys.

Rudy went into his closet and took out Penny's wedding present.

"That looks like a great gift Rudy. What is it?" asked Snap.

"I painted a portrait of Penny when she was in fifth grade." said Rudy.

"That's a very sweet gift to give to someone." said Snap as he took his tuxedo from Rudy's hand.

"We better get to the church." said Rudy as he took his and Snap's tuxedo out of his closet.

"We can't be late for the wedding." said Snap.

The two friends took their tuxedos and walked out of the bedroom and went downstairs to get in the car.
