Today was the day, the day of the raid. We had been preparing all week, especially me. Harry and the lads were ready considering they've been doing this for a while now where as I am very knew to all of this. Niall worked with me strenuously with knife fighting, Liam and I boxed until I couldn't feel my body anymore, and Harry and I shot until I couldn't hear anything, even though I had my hearing protection on.
I roll over in Harry's arm and check my phone seeing it was just past eight. I put my phone back down on the bedside table and roll back over to face Harry. I raise my hand and run my fingertips over Harry's face. I do this until his breathing pattern changes, signaling to me that he was waking up. I trace my finger tips over his face, starting from his cheek and moving to his forehead, down his nose and over his lips. His lips pull into a smile under my fingertips causing me to smile.
"Good morning," Harry greets.
"Hi," I reply shyly.
"How did you sleep?"
"Fine," I lie.
"Then why were you up four times throughout the night?"
"Uh," I say. "I had to pee?" I say more as a question.
"Uh huh, sure. Baby, if you're nervous about tonight you don't have to go, Perrie and the girls can still come over and hang out with you."
"It's not that I'm nervous, I mean I am, but I'm also excited. I'm mostly just worried, I don't want anyone getting hurt."
"That's why we've been training, we've been training for this day for weeks."
"I know, and I'm excited to kick some ass." He chuckles at my remark and gives me a quick kiss on the forehead.
"I'm in need of a shower, are you?" I smile at him and nod.
"Most definitely."
After me and Harry's steamy shower, if you know what I mean, we got dressed and ate brunch with the lads. After we had eaten and the dishes were done Harry got to it on making last minute phone calls to various gang members. My phone buzzes from my pocket and I pull it out seeing a text from an unknown number.
Good luck tonight xx
I furrow my brow and quickly type out a reply.
Who is this??
After I hit send I put my phone back in my back pocket and turn to face Harry who was sat on the couch opposite of me. He continues to talk on the phone and I sigh knowing he'd be busy for a while. I push myself up off the couch and make my way up the stairs. I sit at my vanity and begin applying some darker makeup than usual. I apply my foundation, highlight and contour as normal before starting on a burgundy smokey eye and burgundy lip. One my makeup is done I comb through my unruly curls and smile at myself in the mirror. I pull my phone out to see if the unknown number texted me back but I find nothing. I shrug it off and stand walking over to my closet. I strip off my comfy clothes and throw them in my hamper and begin getting dressed. I slip into a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and grey tee shirt and slide on a leather jacket. I pick out a pair of combat boots and slip them on after I put on a pair of plain black socks. I have a dark theme going on today, and I kind of like it.
"Ireland," Liam calls as he knocks on my door.
"Come in," I reply.
"Hey I just wanted to let you know, oh," he says taking a pause to look me over. "Uh we're leaving at nine but Harry's having everyone meet at the gym before hand to go over everything." I nod giving him a smile and he returns one with a curt nod. He leaves my room closing the door behind him and I tidy up my room. I grab my hamper and run down stairs to throw my clothes in the wash. I dump the clothes into the machine and add in some soap and softener before starting it.
