dawn broke when miyun finally fell asleep in woojin's strong arms, his breath and the first birds greeting the sun with their song were the only things heard in the camp.

red beams of sunlight stretched across the lonely beach, footsteps from the day before washed away by the sea. further up the shore a tent stood vacant, its resident sitting in front of it, sipping on hot cocoa and listening to a day6 playlist.

he loved mornings, a good morning made a great day. and today seemed to get even better than expected, judging by the clear blue sky and already warm temperatures at least. he'd definitely go down to the beach today, he had to test out his new snorkeling gear, whatever the cost.

"felix texted me!"
seongmi's shrill voice woke even sua, who was extremely hung over. that drinking game against changbin wasn't her brightest moment, but at least she won over him, another feather in her cap.

seongmi ran through their shared tent and was about to faint, or so it seemed, at the text she received from the freckled australian. instead of replying, though, she just stared at her phone, smiling like a maniac.

"well? what did he say?"
sua asked, a light chuckle coming from her. the only thing she'd be that excited about would be a scholarship. she sipped on her iced americano and packed a few books for the day.

"they're spending the day down at the beach and he asked me to join! or us.. well he asked me, but you'll come too, right? it would be so awkward if i'd go alone. please come along?"
the girl spoke without taking a breath and was now staring at her friends expectingly.

"you're really that whipped already, huh?"
chaehwa questioned teasingly, not expecting a response and slipped into her bikini.
"what?! n-no! he's just really considerate. and you gotta admit that he's almost disgustingly good looking."
she tug a strand of hair behind her ear and blushed at the mere thought of seeing him in only trunks later today. her heart started going faster just thinking about seeing him again.

"aw you're really crushing hard mimi."
areum giggled and followed her friend with her eyes as she scrambled for her phone to reply to felix, before ripping out a total of thirteen different bikinis.
"which one should i wear? this is way too hard."

"well you don't want him to get hard or die, so maybe something that's not that revealing?"
chaehwa shrugged as the tent fell silent.
everyone was staring at her, eyes huge and jaws dropped. sua's head almost exploded, she hated this kind of vulgar language.

"what? don't act that innocent. especially not you. may i remind you of yesterday night, chan's hands on your ass? your hands on his, if i may add, very muscular chest? and-"
areum jumped from her mattress and pressed her hands onto the younger girl's mouth.

"you may not remind me. in my mind this never happened. no, in our minds this never happened. got it?"
she took a deep breath and continued packing her beach bag.

as the nine girls made their way down to the beach, they heard jolly screams and laughs, dismissing them as children that enjoyed their youth while they still could. but when they stepped onto the hot sand they saw nine boys who were not exactly acting their age. well, most of them.

jeongin, felix, chan and jisung were splashing huge amounts of water onto each other, while seungmin was snorkeling around the shallow water. the other boys were on land, sunbathing and playing volleyball.
