"are you okay?" a pair of blurry legs appeared in front of her and when her opponent crouched down in front of her, her cross-eyed face was met with a head full of blonde curls and a wide, toothy smile. the boy in front of her waited patiently for a response, but instead was met with silence. the only thing that could be heard was the sound of waves hitting the shore and seagulls wailing in the distance. "are you here with your parents? did you lose them?" again, no response, but at least her eyebrows arched. "did you get a heatstroke? should i call for help?" "i'm not a baby. i just lost my lense." she mumbled and squeezed her left eye shut, allowing her to get a better, unrestricted look at the boy in front of her. his hair looked soft and fluffy, she immediately felt the need to ruffle his curls, but instead scooted back, pouting at her unachievable desire. taking a closer look, chan realized that she really wasn't a kid anymore, he felt guilty for falling into his teacher pattern, like he does so often. "why would you look for it on your own if you can't see well? i'm going to help you." chan scurried around the area, finding the lense in a heartbeat. "here you go... i didn't catch your name?" "areum." she stood up and carefully took the visual aid from his hand, a bright smile adorning her face, making chan's heart jump a bit. "how fitting." he stated under his breath and watched the girl disappear into a group tent.
