"why can't you just do something fun? just this once?"
the younger boy pleaded, but the blonde guy in front of him simply shook his head as a response.
"i'm plenty of fun even if i don't buy you alcohol, thank you very much. plus, i'm way too comfortable to get up now."
seungmin puffed out his cheeks and left, disappointed. where was woojin when you needed him?
"excessive consumption of alcohol is forbidden, danbi. didn't you read the camp rules? plus, i brought board games. we don't need alcohol to have fun."
danbi frowned and left the tent, almost running into a another teen.
"seems like we have the same problems. how about this, i'll convince my other grandpa to buy us some booze and you'll bring your friend and the board games she talked about. seems like both our friends need something to loosen them up."
danbi was overwhelmed by the amount of words that came out of his mouth, especially considering their speed.
"you're here with your grandparents? isn't this a camp for teens and young adults? also, why were you eavesdropping anyways? are you some sort of perv?"
he giggled and put his arm around her shoulder.
"he's not my actual grandpa, silly. he's just old, well older than us. and i wasn't eavesdropping, i just overheard your conversation as i was standing in front of your tent, there's a difference."
she shrugged and snaked her arm around his waist, before responding.
"so, you're suggesting that i should play wing-woman for areum and link her up with your stuck up friend? sounds like a deal, as long as you're bringing the booze."
he grinned, clicked his tongue and started walking towards the convenience store, that wasn't only open 24 hours daily, but also was just across the street.
"i won't bring the booze, he will."
seungmin pointed at a bench in front of the store, where a boy was currently pressing a bandaid onto a girls knee, seemingly talking her down.
"aw is that his girl-"
the words got stuck in danbi's throat when she realized that this girl he was tending to was, in fact, miyun.
"miyun? what happened?"
worry coated danbi's voice as she plopped down next to her friend, patting her back.
"i fell.."
she mumbled, obviously embarrassed.
"i lent her my slip-on's because she didn't have hers with her and as we were walking to the camp, she stumbled and fell. i'm woojin, by the way. i see you already got to know seungmin."
woojin had to be so soft, quiet and caring for miyun to even let him get closer to her, let alone touch her.
"thank you."
she sent a vibrant, sincere smile to the boy, before seungmin cut right to the point.
"we need booze. and a lot of it. jeongin told me he tried to look cool in front of a girl and told her to come over tonight."
woojin chuckled and stood up, looking at miyun, trying his best not to get lost in her eyes.
"will you be okay?"
she nodded and stood up as well, saying her goodbyes and left, seungmin having to slap woojins shoulder for him to quit staring.
"you should've invited her instead of staring."
danbi began giggling and only stopped when she spotted naeun inside the shop, arguing with an equally as edgy looking guy, who was holding a bottle of vodka.
"listen, i honestly don't have the nerve or time to argue with you, just give me the damn vodka. i was here first!"
the guy just turned around, strutting towards the cash registers.
"okay, okay wait. what do i have to do for you to give me the vodka?"
he turned around, a smirk on his lips and pointed to the phone in her hand.
"i still want your number. give it to me and i'll give you the bottle. simple deal, right?"
she had to do her darnedest to not completely lose her temper, before unlocking her device and dictating the digits to him through gritted teeth.
"thanks, babe."
he turned around again, payed for the alcohol and left the store without further comment.
"yo chaehwa, sua! stop staring at the ice cream and help me beat this dickhead's ass!"
she didn't wait for a response and ran after him, ripping the glass bottle from his hand, fuming.
