Chapter 4:

*Abby's POV*

“Abby, you GREAT! I should be someone’s personal assistant or something…” Madi made me spin once I stepped out of the bathroom into the morning sun lit bedroom.

My hair was now straightened, and looked wonderful, all thanks to Madi. She had French braided my bangs back so that they hung in front of my ear in a loose braid. Also, she had made me change into something other than a man’s collage shirt from the 70’s. I now had on my favorite mint green graphic tee, that read “Free Hugs” on the front of it, along with a pair of Miss Me skinny jeans and my red Vans. Including, must we not forget, my mobile collection of beaded bracelets.

“So, what exactly is the plan here, Ace?” I questioned as Madison rummaged through her purse. She pulled out her lip gloss and applied it to my lips. As all best friends do. Or at least, as we do.

“I’ll tell you when we get there!” She gushed.

I raised my eyebrow. “So there is no plan.” She looked up and stuck her tongue out at me, and smirked.

I laughed and looked out the window, my mind racing.

What if Niall saw the video? I pictured the boys beautiful blue eyes watching me behind another pixilated screen. A chill spread up my lower back as I imagined those same eyes I had seen in pictures and TV interviews looking directly back into mine.

“Madi I don’t know about this…” My voice cracked and my heart fluttered. “What if he shows up there?”

She rolled her eyes. “Of course he’s going to be there! That’s why we have to go! One doesn’t just turn down a chance to meet the love of their life, Abbsters.”

I bit my bottom lip nervously. “Let’s not hold our expectations too high.”

The cold September air wrapped tightly around my face and put a rosy hue in my cheeks and finger tips. The sky was a grayish blue, and the clouds were hanging low over our heads. Trees beside us on the sidewalk dropped leafs of the colors red and orange on top of the cold cement. I took in the time now to calculate the outcomes today could bring.

1.       Niall probably wouldn’t show up at the mall. I mean lets face it, he’s a busy celebrity who could have any girl in the world he wanted. So why in the world would he want me? I didn’t think I was very special.

2.       If he did show up, I would have to remember how to act. Don’t faint.

3.       It probably wouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to run back to my apartment now, Madi probably wouldn’t catch me, I can run fairly faster than her if I put my mind to it.

Madi must have noticed me making up scenarios, because she threw an arm over my shoulder and almost whispered in a fake British scent- “There’ll be no turning back now, Love.”

I scoffed sarcastically. “Who said anything about going back?” Madison laughed and continued walking down the sidewalk with me. “We picked a perfect time to post that video. The boys are suppose to be in Manhattan this week.”

She said something else after that, but I couldn’t hear her because of the drumming of my heart in my ears. I watched a little black car pull up to the curb harshly ahead of us. I stopped in my tracks, and felt my cheeks get hot.

The first boy stepped out of the drivers side. He was tall, and had short brown hair that was kind of spiked up with gel, but I barley noticed because I was watching the boy with bleach blond hair and a tight white tee-shirt stepping out of the passenger seat. When he saw me, a look of disbelief crossed his face, but then he smirked and waved.

That was when I pretty much stopped breathing.
