🍂

The pain I saw in his eyes,
Reflected guilt held in my heart,
Leaving him was hard,
But worst was the thought of getting to a new start.

Without him,
I knew I was incomplete,
More haunting was the fact,
Our memories were something I could never delete.

Tempting to hold him,
I tried calling him back,
But being surrounded by hidden lies,
I couldn't convince my weeping eyes.

We had our own perfect world,
He could have given it a try,
How could he say goodbye?
Even the slightest thought always made me cry.
