"Sky what did you do?" I gasped silently. How did he know I was here? "I know your scent from anywhere Sky." he said practically reading my mind. "Tell me what happened."

I stood up from the shadow filled corner still a little shaken. "He let me drink his blood." I told him.

"And you did? That's prohibited!" he cried.

"I had no choice! I was hungry...it just happened." I exclaimed.

"You should have eaten when I offered you the chance." he shot back.

"I wasn't going to just kill some innocent girl! If you want to become a murderer this way, I won't stop you!" I gasped. Where did that come from? I didn't mean to say that.

Josh glared angrily at me. "It's survival of the fittest out there. You can either get used to it, or die like the others." I noticed he looked as confused as me. Regret filled his eyes as he said "die like the others". But the arguing continued.

"I didn't even want this. You made me a monster!" I screeched.

He sneered and appeared close before me. I backed up into the wall. I actually feared Josh and what he might do to me inside, but my actions said differently. I shoved him away. "Now you're calling the Cutters monsters?"

"You all are monsters. What you did to the Gideons this whole war is vile." I screamed back. He reached over, grabbed me by the neck, and pushed me up hard against the wall. "Jacob--" I started. Jacob? Why am I calling Josh Jacob?

"How dare you lecture me about my Cutters?" he leaned closer to me until I could feel the heat of his body. "I guess you didn't know that your little lover Lance is torturing my people as well. As the rumor goes of course."

"You're lying." I growled back at him. I could feel our breathing rise as more tension grew between us. "He would never do that!"

He smirked, slowly brushing his lips against mine. There was a certain proud feeling in that smile. Like he was glad he had me trapped. Like he was the only one in control. He loosened his grip on my neck. "There's a lot you don't know about some people." he whispered to me.

His words went through me like a gust of wind. I trembled at the feeling of him being so close to me. I knew he was toying with me, wanting me to want him kiss me. And I did honestly. I wanted him to grab me and make his way with me. "I guess there's a lot I don't want to know about some people." I responded. This time I agreed with the force that was making me say this nonsense. But right there, I was almost sure he was about to lean over and kiss me slavishly. Until we heard Alexander's faint voice.

"Jacob stop this." he said trying to pick himself up. The trance stopped then. I no longer had no control over my actions and words. Looking up at Josh, I noticed he realized the same thing.

Josh hurried over to him and helped him stand up. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"Jacob...Did you just call him Jacob too?" I demanded. Josh can't be Jacob! All of this is just my imagination.

Alexander nodded and threw an arm over Josh's shoulder to keep balanced. "Yes I did."

I glimpsed at Josh who refused to look at me. Was he ashamed of what he done? I don't even know what just happened for him to be ashamed of it. "Josh? What the hell was that?"

He shook his head, eyes still on Alexander. "You're not my fated lover. I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess Sky. I apologize." he walked Alexander towards the bedroom.
