Tell me if u get confused....

"You called?" Xavier asked me once I made it in front of my house. He was standing across the street at the same place I first saw him.

"I want to see the Gideons. All of them. The ones you call my followers." I told him, walking to my front door.

He grinned and jogged up to me. "That's weird because your earlier reincarnations were hesitant about seeing them at first."

"Well it is kind of scary hearing that you're a leader of a group of vampires after the realization you have actually became one yourself." I tried to keep in my laughter.

"Wait." Xavier said and grabbed my arm. He pulled me behind him and walked carefully toward my front door. "I smell...blood." he told me.

I gasped. "My dad's in there!" I screamed and pushed around him. He tried to get a hold of me again, but I slipped away from him. "Dad!" I ran though the living room and the kitchen. There was no sign of him. "Dad!" I hurried upstairs to my bedroom and his own. He wasn't there either. "Dad---" I stopped myself when I smelled it. A sweet, enriching scent. Exactly what I smelled from Alex. Blood. I followed the smell as if I was a dog sniffing out its bowl of food for the day.

"Dementia..." I heard Xavier whisper. I found him in the backyard, his back turned on me.

I ran towards him, afraid of what he was looking at. "What happ--" I felt sick as my legs gave in. Xavier caught me in his arms before I collapsed to the ground. "Dad!" I screamed out against his chest. My dad laid slump on the ground. Cuts, bruises, and blood everywhere. So much blood... Xavier tugged me into a hug. "He's dead?" I asked him.

He raked hair away from my face and nodded. "Yeah, no pulse." I sobbed harder into his chest. "It was a Cutter." he muttered.

I sat up and pulled away from him. "A Cutter? How do you..."

"I saw her just before she left. It was Rayne Kasel. Shelby Berwick's sister." Xavier paused for a response. "In your world, Rayne was Shelby Simmons's sister."

I remembered the angry glare in her eyes. Did Shelby know about Josh and I? And she was willing to kill my dad for it? "I'm going to kill her." I said to Xavier, voice as cold as ice.

"Don't start a war you can't finish." he warned me. I took his hand he offered me as he pulled me up to my feet.

"No. I don't want the Gideons involved. I just want her dead."

"Yeah?" he took me by the arm and dragged me away from the yard. "Well, if you do that you'll only give us another war. Do you want that to happen again?"

I shook my head slowly. "No, I--"

"You're willing to risk the lives of other vampires for your dad's vengeance, is that it?" he demanded.

I took my arms away from him. "They killed my dad! I bet you know exactly how that feels, right? Because you know so damn much already!" I screamed at him.

He let out a stiff growl under his breath. "I'm only saying that your dad's life isn't worth our people's lives."

I turned away from him and gazed down the street. I can't even look at him right now. How can he say my dad's life isn't worth anything? I thought. My dad's life is worth everything to me. "You know what? I'm done." I turned around, back into the house. "I'm going to call the police. I can't look at that."

"What do you mean you're done?" he asked, trying to catch my attention. I searched around for the phone. "Dementia, look at me."

"Don't call me that! My name is Sky. Not Dementia." I yelled.
