A Summer with the Mikaelson's

Chapter One - An Agreement

Elena's P.O.V:

Elena Gilbert,

As a person residing in Mystic Falls, we would love to invite you to our Start-The-Summer-Off ball. It will be held at the Mikaelson Mansion in precisely two days. The ball will start at five in the afternoon. If you are going speak to Elijah, Niklaus or Rebekah. As you are a friend to the majority of us we would like for you to join Rebekah for a sleepover that same night. Miss Bonnie, Miss Caroline, Mr Matt, Mr Jeremy, Mr Damon and Mr Stefan are also invited, another two or three people might turn up, though. We wish that you stay the night, if you can do so we don't expect you to have to carry your stuff around all night so, if you arrive early, say four or half four, we can help you sort everything out. Rebekah would also like it if you get changed while at the Mansion, so all the girls, well her friends, can get ready together.

We wish to see you there,

Elijah, Klaus, Rebekah and Kol

Elena felt slightly bad for what they Mikaelson's had lost, they lost their youngest brother, Henrik, when he was young - about twelve or thirteen, from what Elijah had said - then they lost both of their parents recently. They also recently lost their oldest brother. He must have been fed up of being an Original for he drove one of the last White Oak stakes through his own heart a few months ago. It was good to see that the rest of the family were coming to terms with it, for they had been struggling for months.

Elena thought about it and decided it would be good to see them. Rebekah and herself had patched things up between them and now they were like sisters. Rebekah was adamant that Elena liked one of her brothers, though. Not that Elena knew why of course. Elena looked at who would be stopping the night and sighed. If Stefan and Damon will be there then she didn't think that she should go. Damon was insistent that she try to start things back up with his brother and Stefan absolutely hated her at the moment, Elena had no idea why. She sighed, again, and got out her phone. She scrolled through her contacts and clicked the first Mikaelson who was there, it happened to be Elijah.

Hey, Elijah, I can make it to the ball. I'll even stop over that night. I'll be there at four p.m in two days. Thanks for inviting me :).

Elena read the text and once she was sure she was happy with the message she sent it off to him. Texting Caroline to ask her if she was going quickly. Caroline replied first, saying that she was going, apparently she needed help choosing what to wear so Elena said they could shopping in two hours. Caroline replied agreeing and then the reply message from Elijah came through to her phone.

That's good news; I'll tell Rebekah so that she knows. I'll see you at four in two days. How have you been?

Elena smiled and sent back a text.

I'm good, what about you? How have you been holding up?

Elena knew from experience that Elijah never text back straight away and wasn't shocked when Caroline's text appeared first.

You'd really go shopping, OMG! I just have to invite, like, everyone. We'll pick you up in an hour and a half. You better be ready.

Elena growled slightly and replied an affirmative to Caroline, she frowned slightly and picked her phone up when it went off. She was confused for a moment and then realised she was waiting for a text from Elijah. She unlocked her phone and stared at the message confused.
