SUMMARY: The Mikaelson's want to start the summer off with a bang. So they decide a party/ball is in order. They invite nearly all of Mystic Falls. Everyone they invite goes so what could go wrong at a ball for vampires, witches, werewolves and humans?

IMPORTANT: Let me clear something up, Elena is a vampire, but she's not a new one. Elijah wouldn't persue this with her if she wasn't. Three people have asked me in the past few weeks if she was or not, so I decided to just say this about it.

Chapter Three - Setting Up For A Ball

Elena's P.O.V:

I love the feel of driving a sports car, especially Elijah's sports car, I love it. "Thanks, 'Lijah." I could practically feel his smile.

"You're welcome." The mood went down slightly with his next few words. "Does this make up for what I did?" He asked this solemnly, his words angered me slightly. I pulled the car over.

"That's why you let me drive?" I hissed. "You felt bad." My voice softened, "Elijah, I've told you before that I'm thankful for what you've done, when I died, you saved me."

"You were dying, I was being selfish. I shouldn't have given you my blood."

"But, you know what, I'm happy you did," I stated. "If you hadn't, we'd never have this." I pointed to the both of us and the space in between us.

"Are you sure, that you're alright with being a vampire?" He asked me, I feel like he has asked me this loads of times since it happened.

"Elijah, I've been a vampire for a year and a half, do you really think I'm as opposed to it as Stefan is." At the mention of Stefan his eyes darkened. "What's with him anyway?" I asked.

"He wants you back and knows I have claim over you - being the vampire who turned you and all." I nodded.

"Which is why he hates you?" Elijah nodded.

"I assume so. Can we go back now?" Just as he said I got a phone call.

"Can you answer that? Put it on speaker." Elijah grabbed my phone and answered it as I set off again.

"Why have you stopped?"

"We haven't now, we're on our way back."

"Well, I see that now." It was Caroline talking.

"Who's driving?" I asked.

"I am, love." Elijah glared at my phone. "Lighten up brother." I laughed, of course, Klaus knew Elijah would glare. "Your girl agrees with me."

"Caroline, you're going back to the Mikaelson's as well aren't you?" I asked as Elijah smirked at me, mouthing that everyone was. I hushed him.

"Yeah. So is Bonnie, Kol is driving her back." Right.

"Okay, we'll see you back there."

"Love ya, Elena."

"Love you too, Care." I heard the beep signalling she'd been cut off.

"We won't see them back at the house."

"Why not?" I asked Elijah.

"The five of them are going to get last minute decorations, but Bonnie and Kol will be there." Oh, joy, Kol. "I know. But he and Bonnie might want some alone time." We pulled up at the house.

"That's not something I want to think about."

"I have a tale to tell you, follow me." So I did, I followed Elijah into an office of some sort.
