A Summer with the Mikaelson's
Chapter Eight - Miracles
Elijah's P.O.V:
I smiled to myself as I looked at my bed, in the middle of it is my sweet Elena. She's all sprawled out and, even though she is sleeping slightly sloppily, she looks just like an angel. I love her. Wait, where did that come from? However, as I looked at her (this could be classed as creepy) I could see how I love her. Her perfectness was perfect, she was perfect. Everything about her is perfect. She has the biggest heart and her sense of compassion is amazing and absolutely astounding.
"Elijah?" I looked at her face, she had her eyes open and was staring at me happily.
"Yes, my sweet Elena?"
"Can you cuddle with me?" I nodded and sped to the bed, getting in and pulling her close to me before she could even blink. I'd shred the majority of my clothes and put on sweatpants on my way to our bed as well. After a few moments I felt her hands trailing over my abdomen, she was curious. Not that she'd never seen me shirtless before but nevertheless.
"Elena!" I groaned as Elena shot up and away from me, her warmth had left me, I was going to kill the person shouting. "Elena!" It was Caroline.
"Where are you?" This was another girl, Bonnie I realised once I heard that there was a steady and loud heartbeat coming from the second person. I was about to shout for them to shut the hell up and leave when I heard my brother's voice.
"Brother! Elijah, I need you," I heard a noise that sounded like a slap before Niklaus spoke again, "and Elena. We need Elena and you."
"Get lost Niklaus." He ran upstairs and appeared in the doorway.
"Eli," I looked into his eyes before I pulled him into a hug.
"What's wrong?" I whispered gently.
"Nothing, well not really, but it's really shocking and seemingly impossible." He's stalling.
"What Nik? Spit it out." As I pushed him away from me, I still held him at arms length, I just moved him so that I could see him properly.
"Caroline is pregnant," He said it quietly but he had a small smug smile on his face. I assume he loves the news, but Caroline is the one who is most confused.
"What? How?"
"She is my true mate. True mates have to have children, even the most infertile beings can conceive apparently." I sighed laughing inwardly, Elena had sped down to Caroline as soon as she heard the words come out of Niklaus' mouth, more than likely she was checking on her pregnant friend.
"After all this time? I'm so glad you found your mate, brother."
"I'm glad too."
"What's this I hear?" Kol drawled from the doorway. His eyes lighting up at the prospect of a niece or nephew.
"It's true Kol," Caroline said from behind Kol. "Listen carefully." All of us focused on hearing what Caroline was trying to say. Very faintly I could hear a heartbeat beating away.
Kol's eyes lit up as though Christmas had come early, "I get a niece or nephew?" He asked dumbfounded, obviously very pleased. He sped at Nik and hugged him hugely.
