The two lover boys got off the swinging bench, went to the Monkeemobile, and cruised on slowly back on home.

The two British lads arrived home and grabbed their jackets once again from the back seat of their car. They stood at the "Welcome" mat, rubbed their shoes, and then walked through the door. They entered into the living room only to find out that Mike was awfully angry at them.

"Why were you gone so long!" Mike said with frustration.

"We were goin-" Davy started to say.

"We had important things to do today, Davy! We just lost some gigs that we were gonna do once the other fellas left! We really need the money for rent!" Mike continued ranting.

"Look, we're sorry, Mike. I wasn't told this earlier this morning so I must have forgotten!" Davy tried to apologize.

"Hey, now cool it! It was a mistake!" Peter interjected.

"We can always get more gigs to play at, it's not the end of the world." Peter said trying to keep the peace.

"I sure hope it was worth it, Davy." Mike said with an angry sigh.

Mike stormed out of the front room and hastily went to his bedroom.

It was well worth it in Davy's eyes. He just got a romantic date with the person he loves the most. More than any girl, even more than his love and passion for music and horses combined!

An awkward silence floods over the room. No one seemed to know how to react to that blow-up of Mike's. They all knew it was hard for them with bills and all but Mike had never done that before. Especially in front of guests.

"Gosh-a-roni! We should make some dinner." Micky said trying to distract everyone from what had just happened.

"What should we have tonight fellas?" Micky asked.

"Spaghetti!" Peter shouted.

"You must be joking! We just had that last night!" Davy said with a serious face.

"What? It was super good last night!" Peter said staring at Davy.

Davy lightened up a bit with a light smile.

"What about Pork?" asked Micky.

"NO, NOT ME!!" Screamed Peter.

"I said "Pork" not "Tork" you dummy." Micky said with the widest grin possible.

"No, I'm a vegetarian! I can't eat pork!" George said.

"Me too!" said Paul, Peter and Davy in agreement.

"I can't bring myself to eat anything that had a face. I can't eat anything that was grown and raised just to be slaughtered for others enjoyment." Paul said with a saddened expression growing more apparent on his face.

"What about a salad bar for tonight?" George suggested.

"We can have meat out for those who want it, while us vegetarians don't have to make separate meals and ruin our diet." George explained to the group, short of one.

"Alright, it's decided, we'll make a salad bar for tonight's dinner." Micky said with a tone of authority.

"Wait! I prepared last night's dinner!" Micky said.

"Well, we'll choose fingers for it. Everyone get in a circle besides you, Micky." Davy said.

John, Paul, Peter, Davy, George and Ringo get in a circle in the middle of the living room.

"1, 2, 3, shoot!" Davy said with much concentration.

"George! and . . . Peter!" Davy announced to the circle.

"Get to work boys!" Micky said in his robber voice.

"Ok boss." Peter replied in a low gravely voice.

The boys all started laughing at the two.

A few minutes later, the boys started to converse amongst each other once again while Peter and George set out the salad bar.

"You know, me and you seem to have a lot in common." Peter said out of the blue.

"We both care deeply about peace and being as one with the universe, and just making it a better place to be in this short time we have." Peter said.

"We're both vegetarians too." George added.

"I'm glad there are people like us in the world." Peter said with a smile.

"We need more of them in our world in this day and age." Peter said with a flicker of hope in his voice.

"Yes, yes we do." George said back with too much focus toward the food.

The two boys continue to get the various foods on the kitchen counter such as the cheese, ham, croutons, crackers, ranch dressing, tomatoes, onions and more. When all of a sudden:

"I apologize for my behavior earlier fellas." Mike said closing a door behind him.

"I'm just really stressed about bills and rent and all that other boring adult stuff." Mike said looking down on the floor.

"We forgive you Mike. We understand." Micky said immediately after the words left Mike's mouth.

"What's for dinner anyways?" Mike asked.

"Salad bar." Micky replied.

"Time to eat, everyone!" Peter said ringing a giant triangle.

"AHHH! STOP IT PETER, IT'S HURTING OUR EARS!" The others yelled in unison.

"Where did you even get that?" Davy asked covering his ears.

"Why, no other place then the props room!" Peter said with a widened grin.

Everyone sat in a different spot from yesterday's dinner, it was like musical chairs.
George and Davy sat at the table with Micky and John. The others sat on the couch watching TV together and talked politics and what not.

George and Davy day next to each other so they could hold hands under the table when no one was looking.

"So . . . What were you and Davy doing earlier today?" John suspiciously asked.

"Well . . . First we went to the local park and ate lunch then we looked at records." George said half lying.

George looked over to see Davy with a bright red face.

John lucky didn't notice it for their sakes.

"So, who likes horses? I absolutely adore them!" Davy said trying to change the topic.

"You know, I actually wanted to be a jockey" Davy told the table.

"I never loved anything else like I do with music." John said.

"I actually learned how to play Banjo before I did Guitar." John said to Davy and Micky.

"Wow, I didn't know that." Micky said with awe.

"Hey, maybe you and Peter can play Banjo later!" Davy suggested.

"Maybe we will . . ." John faded out of conversation.

While Micky and John were focused on eating, Davy and George's hearts were racing. Their palms were sweating and stains started seeping in their clothes. Minds went racing, but they were not in a race. There was nothing to be gained from this except paranoia. They were scared. Was John suspicious of them? Were the others catching on?
