Davy ran down the steep hill, risking the chance he gets hurt himself. He slides in right beside George and starts checking out what has happened. The 6 lads all gather in a circle around George and Davy.
"What happened? Is it my fault? What can I do to make you better?" Davy asked in a frantic panic.
"Slow down!" George rose his voice.
"I think I twisted my ankle running up the hill." George winced and pointed at his red, swollen foot.
Davy quickly took off his green button down shirt and tied it on George's foot to decrease the swelling. This left Davy with only his white undershirt on his skin to protect him from the sun.
"Davy, it wasn't your fault. I know we had our falling out a bit ago, but I've thought about it." George said all at once it seemed.
"Me too." Davy replied back with sympathy for George.
"Y'know, what I did wasn't right. I'm sorry that I lied. You deserve someone better too, Dear." George apologized.
"I do love you, but I fucked up, and I'll own up to it." George said boldly.
"It's alright, Love! Sometimes doing the right thing, isn't doing the right thing. I realize you did it out of love. You did it in the moment and the first thing you thought of was us. You are that person I deserve! You thought of us! Not yourself!" Davy said with a roller coaster of emotions.
"Y'know, I can't help not feeling guilty about all this. If I didn't make a big deal, you wouldn't have felt so bad about yourself and get yourself hurt out here." Davy said wearing the guilty eyes of a puppy dog.
"It's not your fault! This whole thing wouldn't have happened had I told the truth in the first place! . . . I guess it's out now." George realized.
"Yes, it's true . . . Me and George have been dating since he came here." Davy said confirming everyone's suspicions.
For a slight minute there was a silence that filled the loud, crashing beach.
John, Mike, Peter, Paul, Micky, and Ringo all had shocked expressions painted on their faces even though they suspected it all along.
The unnerving silence made George and Davy uneasy. They started sweating stains into their clothes. Their minds and hearts were racing each other, but no one ever wins when they dwell in these feelings.
"As long as you're happy, I don't care." Paul said breaking the spell.
"Love is love." Micky said with a smile.
Davy and George were shockingly surprised from their reactions. They had kept their love a secret when the other boys didn't mind the whole time. All the stress, fear and tension for no reason.
"Now let's take care of that leg of yours George." John said on a more serious note.
"Me and Ringo should carry him." Davy interjected.
"After all, we are the shortest and we can lift him up better that way from the shoulders." Davy said with the corners of his mouth raised up a bit at the obvious short joke that could have been made.
"Tell us when you are ready, George." Ringo stated.
George closed his pain filled eyes. He took in a few long, deep breaths of the hot air outside, and let it out slowly.
"I'm ready." George strongly said.
"Ok, we'll count to 5 and we'll pick you up." Davy replied.
"1 . . . 2 . . . 3 . . . 4 . . . 5!" Davy and Ringo counted together.
"UGGHH" George whenced and shouted back at the pain filling his ankle.
