"Explain it to me then Luke"
You sat on the steps of the porch and watched the boys kick a ball around, You text your mom telling her that everything was going fine and that you would see her tomorrow night.
It was dark and silent except for the thumping coming from the ball when the boys kicked it, All you thought about most of the day was Vanna and the plan and hoping like hell it was going to work, You just wanted her to be okay and you wanted Luke to be okay, You just wanted everything to go back to normal
"This is so lame! I don’t to play soccer anymore i want my fucking video games and my stupid phone it dead!" Mikey says as he sits on the grass, The others roll their eyes at him and laugh,
"Here mikey" You says as you pull up a game on your phone and he sprints over to you in excitement as he yanks the phone out of your hand and begins the game.
You just laugh and shake your head at him and you turn your attention back to the boys kicking the ball, You were getting a bit bored and a bit tired and you just really weren’t in the mood to be around anyone right now, You told Mikey you were going to bed and he nodded his head not really paying attention because he was too busy on the phone
You climbed into bed and laid there on your side staring at the wall, You jumped at the feeling of someone on the bed and you calmed down when you realized it was just Luke,
"You alright babe?" he asks as he lays down next to you
"yeah" you simply say and he lets out a sigh, he knew you weren’t and he knew you still needed to talk to him,
"What’s on your mind?" he asks
"Vanna said you agreed to help her… What does that even mean i thought you were the one who needed the help." You begin as you sit up in the bed and look at him.
"This was all a plan." He simply says
"A PLAN?" You say
"YOU MEAN THE WHOLE ROBBING AND GETTING IN TROUBLE WAS A PLAN TO HELP OUT VANNA?!" You ask, Luke just nods
"Let me explain." He says
"Go! Explain it to me then Luke because i would love to know what i’m actually dealing with!" You say as you get out of the bed and begin pacing back and forth in the room
"A couple of weeks ago Vanna came over to my house and she asked if i could help her, She explained to me all the shit that’s been happening and all the things she found out about her dad, she decide that it would be the best opportunity to bring him down and get him locked up, She she asked me for a favor, And no surprise that i’m already known as the ‘bad’ kid in town so she gave me some directions to help her so she asked me to steal these things that were in her fathers safe, the things that he was hiding so people didn’t find it, she told me to go to the store where her dad buys the drugs so the cops were forced to question the man who i shot at, who is also Vanna’s dad’s drug dealer, That gets me one charge for attempted murder, then, i run from the scene, that get’s me two charges, also add on some robbery and that gets me three, therefore i’m know as a dangerous criminal that cops are forced to look for,so, I get into trouble, I hide out in this house with all her dads secrets, people will be forced to look for a’ dangerous fugitive’ and when they do, they find this jackpot of stolen goods. and in the end the police will realize that the man who has so much power over the town is crook, a creep, and a liar." he explains.
"But they have to find me here." He adds
"And on Wednesday i need you to make me sound like the worst possible person, you need to get them to want to find me even more." he explains
"I still don’t understand why she asked you for help and no one else." You ask
"Look, it’s no secret that i’m just a reject in this town, i’m a fuck up and that’s how people know me, just a fuck up, And when someone gets robbed everyone instantly points their finger at me, I’m the kid everyone blames. And i’m kind of tired of it, So….i don’t know, Maybe if the cops see that i help catch a law breaker, then maybe people might realized that i’m not as bad as they think i am." He explains
"Not everyone thinks you’re bad Luke." you say
"Which is why i don’t think i could say anything bad about you on the day of questioning." You admit, Luke gives you smile and kiss on the cheek and a little laugh and you smiled back.
"Just tell them i killed your goldfish or something i don’t know.. Just make me sound bad" He says with a laugh and it in turn made you laugh as well, you missed times like this, when you and luke used to just hangout in his room and laugh and talk for hours with out any awkward silence, You were so comfortable and care free when you were around him and you didn’t know how life would be if he wasn’t around and it made you sad when you thought about it.
You sat in bed while Luke was asleep next to you, You weren’t tired and your thoughts were too loud to sleep anyway You heard the front door creek open and close and you climbed out of the bed to see if one of the boys were up and when you went to the living room you notice Calum was missing, You tiptoed over Ashton and Michael, trying your best not to wake them and you quietly opened the door to see Calum sat on the step on the porch, he turned and gave you a sad smile and you sat next to him.
"you okay?" You ask and he just nods as he looks at the ground.
"Do you think Vanna is angry with me?" He asks, And you couldn’t help but smile and giggle to yourself, You knew Vanna had a thing fo Calum and it was no secret that they hooked up but you found it kind of adorable that Calum was actually falling for her, In fact you’re pretty sure it’s the first time you’ve heard Calum talking like this about a girl, He’s never had a girlfriend and he’s never dated, just fooled around but you were kind of happy that he had some feelings towards Vanna.
"I’m one hundred percent certain that she does not hate you." You say with a smile
"How do you know?" He asks and you just shrug your shoulders
"Girls just understand other girls." You explain and he gives you confused look.
"She didn’t even look at me or speak to me today, Did i do something wrong?" He asks and you shake your head no at him.
"She’s just under a lot of stress cal i’m sure she’ll be back to her ways soon enough." You say, You didn’t want to tell Calum about the fight Vanna had with her dad because you knew she didn’t want you to tell anyone.
