"I Need To See You."
It's been two days and haven't been back to school since monday, You explained to your parents that it just wasn't the right time to be at school due to all the drama with luke, They agreed and told you to take time off as long as you got your homework and schoolwork from a friend and Roman gladly volenteered to give them to you, It was late and you were finishing up a project that is do at the end of the week and it was nice to be home and to not worry about the idiots at school, It meant you could work quietly on your school work at home then in a gossiping classroom,there was a knock on your door and you paused your music and told them to come in, Calum and Michael walked in and gave you a sad smile and you did the same, You moved your things off the bed so they could have a place to sit and you laughed as your mom yelled up the stairs and told you to keep the door open, She was never very trusting towards me when Luke was here and the door was closed, You shook your head and waited as you heard her walk away and you got up and shut the door anyway, You sat on your desk chair,
"What's up?" You ask,
"We need to know if your coming with us or not." Calum says.
"We're leaving right after school on friday." Mikey adds.
You sat there thinking of the wrong things that could happen, You guys could get caught, You guys could get into trouble, Someone could follow you and find Luke, There was so many risks that could happen and you just didn't know what to do, You wanted to see Luke and your heart was telling you to But your head just kept giving you reasons not to.
"He wants to see you." Calum says,
"He called me late last night, He was scared and was upset, He misses you and his parents and he said he want to see you." He adds.
"Why didn't he just call me?" You ask,
"Because he didn't want to worry you." He says
You at there in the quiet room with them for a minute and you were trying your hardest to decide but it felt physically impossible.
"Look, We'll give you until tomorrow to decide, Just let us know before friday okay?" Michael says with a half smile and you agreed and they headed out,
You tossed and turned all night and you need to decide but you were always the type of person that didn't want to do anything wrong and you didn't want to be a dissapointment yto your parents, Sure you like to have fun and go to parties and drink But your parents did the same thing when they were your age and you could think of a couple stories that your dad told you about the different bad things he did as teenager, You knew your parents trusted you and you never really gave them a reason not to and you reall don't want to give them one now.
You tiptoed down the hall to your parents room and they were both fast asleep, You took a deep breth and you shook your mom until she gently woke up,
"What's wrong? Are you okay?" SHe whispers and you nod your head but she knew something was wrong.
"I need to talk to you in private." You say and she nods and slips out of bed and follows to your room, You both sit on your bed and your eyes begin to well up and she knew for sure something was wrong.
"What is it sweetie?" She asks, You took a deep breath and let out a shakey sigh as you gathered the courage and the words you were going to say.
"I know where Luke is." You say, She just looks at you and gives you a half hearted smile.
"I know sweetie." She says, You felt shocked You were expecting her to yell at you and tell you how you should have told the police but she didn't she hugged you and told you everything was going to be okay, You sat with her on your bed for the rest of the night as you told step byt step of what had happened the night of the party and how look came here and told her how scared you were and how scared Luke was, You told her where he was and what his plan was and how he was afraid and unsure of what to do and you told her about how badly you wanted to see him and how Michaeel and Calum and Ashton planned on seeing him this weekend and how they wanted you to come to but you explained to her that you were to scared that something bad could happen, She sat there and listened to everything and she really was listening, Your mom liked Luke and so did your Dad they knew he was a good kid at heart and they knew Luke's parents from when they went to school as kids and they knew they did a good job at raising him but he they also knew that teenage boys do some crazy things sometime and it was obvious to your parents and Luke's that you guys really did care for eachother.
"I was ggoing to tell you yesterday but i didn't want to get your hopes up if it didn't work out, But i talked to that lady, You know the one who released you to me and your father the night at the police station, Anyway I called her to confirm the appointment for the questioning and we got to talking about the case, She explained to me that since Luke is a minor he won't necissarily be charged like an adult would, The man at the store didn't get hurt the shot missed him, it was actually a couple of feet above him, the man was taken into questioning and he explained how he told the police how knew Luke didn't want really want to hurt him and how he was just intoxicated and wasn't thinking straight the man said he was scared of Luke, But he called the police because for all he knew Luke could have done something crazy and he knew the shot that Luke took was an accident." Your mom explained, You just looked at her in shock and a bit of confusion,
"But the letter siad that if Luke was found he would be arrested for attempted murder, Robbery and Fleeing the scene." You say
"And that's what i asked the lady, She told me after the man gave his story that the police dropped the charges for the Attempted murder, But unfortunatey Luke can still be arrested for robbery and Fleeing of the scene." She adds.
"And he would go to jail for a long time right?" You ask A bit worried of what you moms answer would be.
"I asked that too And she said she didn't know yet, He would be arrested for sure, But he would have to go to court and people would have to tesify, There would have to witnesses to help Luke out with his case, And stuff and then the judge would make the disission about what would happen, But with Luke being a minor he would be put in the juvinile Detention Center until he turned eighteen and then they would move him to a prison if they never give him a bail." She explained
"But there is a possiblity that he would have to go right?" You aks
"Well, If luke came out of hiding and turned himself in and went throught the process of court and things like that there could be a good chance that he didn't have to go to jail." She says.
"Look, Not all parents are like this, And i'm probably making a big mistake, I know you're a good kid and i know you want to help luke, So do i, So do a lot of people, And i know he's a good kid that made a bad choice, And i'm giving you the okay to go and see him, But we can't tell your father and you have to be careful. And i'm only letting you go so you can talk to Luke and get him to turn himself in." She says, You smiled, But you were completely shocked you could tell she was scared and probably thought it was a mistake to let you do this, But your mom has always been a kind hearted person, She knew you weren't a bed kid and she knew you could help Luke And you were thankful for her. You gave her hug and thanked her almost a million times and she just kept telling you to be safe and bring Luke back and you promised her you would.
"Theres one thing though. Josh and his family aren't too happy with Luke obviously. So just keep in mind that you they may try and get in the way of Luke's freedom." SHe adds.
