"Zoey I gotta talk to you." I said sitting next to her.
"Yeah?" She asked.
I took a deep breath.
"We shouldn't see each other anymore." I told her.
She hesitated to speak.
"Why?" She asked.
"It's just I need a break from all this. From dating." I lied.
"Okay." She told me quietly.
Then she walked downstairs and left.
"CONNER!" Tayleigh yelled from upstairs.
"What!" I yelled back.
"Why'd you dump her?" She shouted.
"I don't love her." I told her quietly.
"Is it Marie?" She said in her not-yelling voice.
"Yeah." I said even quieter then before.
"Well that's good I guess. I didn't need Zoey, I have too many other friends." She was being honest.
I climbed up to her room.
"So you and Dalton huh?" I said smirking.
"Yeah. Are you going to ask Marie?" She wondered patiently, because I knew she'd been wanting to ask all week. She guessed that I would dump Zoey for Marie.
"I don't know. I'm kind of scared." I admitted.
"Suck it up. You'll be fine." She told me.
"What if she says no? Then who will I go with?" I complained.
