Sky walked downstairs in a happy mood smelling a mouth watering aroma in the kitchen for breakfast the next day. Her dad did keep his promise of a lovely dinner where he stayed and ate with just Sky. They talked about many things concerning the memories with mom and Chase, their hobbies, and upcoming movies they planned to see. It was very nice.

Her mood quickly dissipated when she saw Carol on the phone holding a glass of wine. "Yes, it's still going on. Funny how I lived through it all." She said cackling.

Sky went to the kitchen and smiled at the maid who was cooking up a storm.

"Magdalene."

She turned and grinned at her. "Good morning Ms. Garcia. How are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?" Sky asked hopping on the counter next to her.

"I'm very well. Here is your plate." Magdalene handed her a plate of a breakfast burrito that was oozing cheesy goodness. "I made it with your favorites adding extra bacon and cheese."

"Thank you."

She went on to make another plate for Carol consisting of small portions of eggs benedict, spinach, and fruit. After she gave her the plate and came back, Sky was halfway done with her burrito.

"So, when is my appointment?" Sky asked with her mouth full.

"Tomorrow in the afternoon. I made sure you had enough time to sleep until the appointment."

Carol must've overheard their conversation as she rudely butted in, "Yes and I'm going!"

Sky almost choked on her burrito from the mere thought of having Carol around her and the baby making disgusting faces towards the monitor. She would probably insult the picture by saying the baby is too small even if it was a small pebble. The only reason she would want to come is to brag about how involved she was with taking care of Sky's baby.

"No, you're not coming. Magdalene is coming so I don't need you there. Mind your business."

"The maid? Oh good heavens something is clearly wrong with you!" Carol shook her head and went back to her conversation as if they never talked. The nerve of that witch.

"Anyway." Sky smiled big at Magdalene. "Oh Mag, I'm going to register for nursing classes!"

Mag smiled and hugged her. "That's wonderful! So you want to be a nurse?"

"Yes, I want to be either a midwife or a labor and delivery nurse to help all the mommies and kids."

"That's so admirable. If you need any help, let me know and I'll get on it. Did you take your medicine?"

"Thank you Mag. Oh crap no. Lemme go take it!"

Sky hopped off the counter and ran upstairs to her room. She grabbed her vitamins off her nightstand and went back downstairs then stopped then stopped in her tracks. Her stomach was turning and she felt cold and queasy all over. Oh no, this is it. Sky quickly dashed to the nearest bathroom in the living room and lifted the toilet seat throwing up her breakfast in the toilet. She lurched her body deeper in the toilet and vomited. Her stomach felt weak as she finished and heard someone running towards her holding her hair back.

"Are you alright Ms. Garcia?" Mag asked with concern in her voice.

Sky threw up once more and wiped her mouth nodding feeling Mag put her hair in a secure bun. "I'm okay now Mag. Thank you."

"I'll get you some ginger ale and a tummy tablet." She scurried off as Sky stood up, brushed her teeth and cleaned up.

Sky was a little emotional from the motherly care Mag gave her. Since her mother passed, she yearned for a mother or at least someone to care for her. Yes, she found Sage but it was different than having a mother. Someone to love, lean onto, and nurture her when she needed it. She didn't know if it was the emotional symptoms or the sheer care Mag gave to her with breakfast and helping her in the toilet but Sky was definitely feeling sappy. It was a kind, selfless act she could never imagine receiving from anyone else, especially Carol.
