After Sage left, Sky continued to eat, looked around the house and contemplated.

Everything she went through was a bitch and a half. Dealing with egotistical assholes, feeling abandoned and alone in the world, going through, now, three deaths, attempted suicide, and suffered from almost dying at the hands of a jealous mob boss wife. And even after everything, she felt peace.

The journey of meeting Sage by being kidnapped, almost dead twice, and pregnant really made her open her eyes. Yeah, she went through that but in the end, she had a baby on the way, a better connection with her father, a family that loves her, a maid she considered her second mother, and a fiance. If she had to go through all of it again just to be right where she was she'd happily go through all of it again.

Still, she's glad its over. Hopefully.

As she ate another potato wedge, Spider walked out from the balcony and headed towards the stairs.

"Hey Spider! You hungry?" Sky asked, catching him before he left.

She never understood Spider with his ominous personality and him barely talking to her, except for the time he blew up at her at the house. Spider probably had gone through hell in his lifetime and carried it with him.

He stopped at the bottom of the stairs and looked at her shaking his head.

"No, I'm good. You enjoy."

"Okay, thank you for donating your blood again."

"You're welcome. Had too much in me anyway."

With widened eyes, Sky nodded and watched him go up the stairs.

"Ooookay."

"That was a joke!"

Sky shook her head and finished eating her food. "Dark humor. He's so mysterious."

She went to her awaiting handsome man in the shower and walked into their bathroom to look at him.

Damn, he's gorgeous and all mine.

Sky took her clothes off quietly, careful of her baby bump and bandages, then walked into the shower watching Sage stand under the shower-head. The water poured down his face and hair with his head tilted down and his hands placed on the tiles in front of him.

He looked deep in thought and Sky's wanted to take away the pain or doubt that was filling his head. She wrapped her arms around his waist and ran her hands up to his chest, kissing his back softly. She felt him immediately relax and held her arms.

"Hey baby."

"Hi Red Head."

He turned to her and cupped her cheeks grinning at her.

"You okay?" She asked resting her chin on his chest and looked up into his stormy eyes.

"I'm great now that you're here. Just thinking and using my head too much," He placed a gentle kiss her forehead then her lips. "How are you?"

Sky rubbed his head wanting to feel every inch of him. Wanting to carry some of the burden that laid on his shoulders.

"I'm good, glad we're safe."

"Yes we are. I know it hasn't been the greatest journey of your life but I'm glad I met you baby." Sage said and caressed her cheek.

Sky's heart flipped and danced as she looked up to the once hardened man who couldn't even stand to look at her. Now, he was declaring his love and made her feel so special that she couldn't help but fall in love with him all over again. Sky leaned up and kissed his lips twice and rubbed his back again with a smile so big.
