Have you ever thought that life was constantly blowing up in your face and getting worse by the day? That's how I feel.

"Shit!"

Sage threw another chair against the wall and kicked the remnants into pieces over and over and over again. He grabbed his lamp off his desk and smashed it on the ground in utter rage, growling at the men at his door to leave him the fuck alone.

This was pointless. I should just lit the whole gotdamn place on fire at this point.

Things were getting worse by the minute. All he needed was one delivery to go right. Just one and he would be scott-free. The money he saved in his account was gone. Somehow, one of his workers at the drug building hacked into his funds and drained him dry. Nine million gone. How? Who the fuck knows.

That's not even the worst part. He still had loads of money saved up in cash as backups and found out who did it. He sent an order to have the person dealt with but the money was long gone. Not only that, but all of his workers were gone. No one wanted to stay and continue making the merchandise because the business was fucking failing.

Word got out of his business being leached with crossers and betrayers, so no one wanted to do business with him and the ones he had dropped out. Ten of Victoria's men were so close to breaking in his home and almost destroying everything until they were dealt with by security.

This was turning into a nightmare and he only had himself to blame. His old boss did tell him to make an example out of people if they crossed him but he wasn't that heartless. Now, Sage didn't know what to do.

This only pissed him off more.

He punched a hole in the wall right as Tony walked into his office and closed the door, unfazed by the mess.

"Boss, we have to talk."

"What now! Everyone is leaving, people are trying to kill us, the money is gone, and the people who worked for me are betraying me! Haven't I done enough? I risked my neck to keep this fucking place and one incident is turning into an avalanche of shit! So what now, Tony?"

Tony looked at Sage with concern as his next words cut Sage so deep his legs felt weak.

"Victoria knows who Sky is."

Sage grabbed the edge of his desk and sunk down on the ground with dread coursing in his stomach. He thought he'd been so careful. His child and his girl were in danger and its all because of him. Because of his carelessness.

If anything happened to her, Sage couldn't bare it. He wouldn't be able to live with himself and the pain he put her through if Victoria put her vile hands on her. He'd rip her fucking head off without a second thought.

"How?"

"Someone leaked the information. One of the guards, I think, for more money and no one is talking. We need to warn her before its too late and she finds her."

Tony's face was determined and angry, just as Sage felt because he knew she affected Tony as well. Everyone she talked to was enthralled by her. Sage was no different.

"I can't show my face otherwise it'll expose her location or where she's near. It needs to be you."

He nodded his head and walked to Sage sitting down with him on the floor careful of the broken debris.

"You can't keep blaming yourself, son. I see it in your eyes the pain you're putting yourself through. It's not your fault. You did everything you could and you knew the kind of mess you got into the second you were thrown in."
