"finley and flora dobrik! you apologize to aunty nat right now." i scold, making my children pout before turning to natalie.
"i'm sorry." they sigh, looking down at the ground.
"for...?" i press.
"for letting daddy bribe us into asking aunty how lesbians have babies." they pout, making me cover my mouth to try and conceal my laugh.
natalie smiles and leans down to hug her god-children.
"it's okay my babies. it's your daddy's fault anyways. i hope you two are very angry at him right now." she says, giving them a pointed stare.
tom and liz into the living room, looking at us in amusement.
"yes, you two should be very very angry at daddy. in fact, you should probably tell daddy that he should pay for your aunties' wedding." liz coaxes, making me roll my eyes.
tom kneels down, taking the two toddlers into his arms placing them on his hip.
"don't listen to either of them, my sweets. all you have to do is know that daddy was wrong. and you shouldn't do that." he says, consoling his pouty god-children.
"okay uncle tommy." flora sighs, leaning her head in his shoulder.
flora was always fond of tommy. meanwhile, finley preferred his godmothers. the process of deciding the godparents was a difficult one for david and i. we had both known that we wanted natalie as one of the godparents, but neither of us could choose between liz or tommy. so, we came to the conclusion that our two children would need all the help they could get, so we decided on three godparents. two godmothers, one godfather. had harrison chosen to stay in the states, we may have chosen him to be the second godfather. and david said he wouldn't trust any of his friends to take after his children.
"what's going on in here?" david asks, walking into the living room, shaking out his messy hair.
my children look at their father with an angry glare. their arms crossed over their chests. tom snorts, setting them onto the ground and they stomp their way past their father and into their rooms.
"what did i do?" he asks, throwing his hands up.
"you, sir, got them in trouble. fuck you, by the way." natalie says, making david laugh.
"i bet it was totally worth it."
"david, i will kick you out." i glare, making him roll his eyes and pull me into his chest.
"yeah yeah. i got it." he smirks, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to my lips.
"so, how's the show going? you think it's gonna get renewed for another season?" i ask, leaning my head on my husband's chest.
"we hope so." tom chuckles, grabbing a beer from the fridge.
"i think it will. it's really good."liz inputs, grabbing her fiancee's hand and pulling her onto the couch.
"yeah, i'm not even saying that as your friend. it is genuinely really good." natalie nods as she cuddles into liz.
"you know, i hate being around all this." tommy says, scrunching his nose up in disgust as he looks over the two couples in the room.
"then go spend time with your godchildren." i laugh, making tommy nod.
"you're right. you know what? i'm actually starving. we should call everyone up. go grab lunch or something." he suggests, taking me by surprise.
i narrow my eyes at him as i look him over.
"you have a girlfriend." i smirk, and his eyes widen.
"i do not!"
"yes you do. that said it right there. you have a girlfriend and you're in love." i say with pride, making everyone perk up.
"how did you even-" tom asks, furrowing his eyebrows.
"your shirt is buttoned up more than usual, you stopped wearing the five chain, you bought a new cologne that's lighter and fresher which is more appealing to most women, and you've been getting regular haircuts." i point out, pushing away from david and going into the fridge to grab the cranberry and apple juice.
everyone gawks at me as i pour the juice into my cup.
"i think you watch too much criminal minds, babe." david chuckles.
"what can i say? i've got a weak spot for white boys with shaggy brown hair who don't get enough sleep." i shrug, winking at my husband.
"okay, gross. lunch?"

david presses a soft kiss to our children's foreheads and he gently closes the door, leaving us standing in the hallway.
"can you believe that they're starting school soon?" i pout, leaning my head against the wall.
"i know. i feel so old." he laughs.
"david, we're only like...30 or something." i say, waving him off.
he pauses for a moment before looking up at me.
"people have babies at 30, right?"
a small smile reaches my face and i nod my head.
"yeah...they do."
"would you want that?" he asks, grabbing my hands.
"i think we'd have to find a new house, but yeah. yeah i would." i smile, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
just moments after, i hear my son mumbling from his bed.
"mommy? daddy?"
i push open the door and look down at my son, sitting up in his bed.
"what's up, my love?" i say quietly as i walk forward and kneel down next to his bed.
"you and daddy are loud. shhh." he says before laying back down and falling back asleep.
i bite my lip as david and i walk back to our room. then the laughter spills out.
"he got that from you." david points out, making me roll my eyes.
"oh shut up. you knew they'd get my attitude the moment i got pregnant."
"yeah i did...and i can't wait for another one." he smiles, grabbing ahold of my hips.
"and to think, this all happened because brandon made us play paranoia." i mumble against his lips.
"yeah...fuck that game."
