Old Friends

*******Emma Pov******

At the mall I got a pair of vans a new hoodie that says Jack and Jack on it I got three beanies and a few pair of leggings. Now we are back on the bus and I am in my kot writing in my diary or journal that I got at Family Dollar.

Dear Diary,

Today is June 12th and so far the day has been good because Kenny hasn't done anything to me which is good. Later tonight at the show my old neighbors the Tanners are coming and I am not happy cause Luke Tanner who is my age I hate. Jack really likes Jenna and I think he might ask her to be his girlfriend I hope so cause then Jacks attention won't be on me all the time. My back is really hurting me from when Kenny whipped me with his belt. Jack saw the marks on my back and I lied to him but I don't think he believes me. Jack put peroxide on my cuts and then he wrapped them with a medical wrap. I wonder if Kenny will do something to me later I hope not cause so far this has been a good day and I don't want it to turn bad.

Then I closed my journal and put it under my pillow.

"Aye little Gilinsky where are you" Kenny asked. I peeked out of my kot and he was in the room. Then he saw me and he pulled me down. I fell on my back and it hurt really bad that I cried. Kenny pulled me back up by my hood and he slapped me hard. I fought back and hit his face which caused him to slap me even harder. Then I heard someone whistling so Kenny stopped and I wiped my tears. Kenny backed away from me and i noticed that Jack walked in.

"Em why are your eyes puffy and red" he asked looking at me. I have to lie to him but I feel so bad cause he is my brother.

"I hit my back on something and it hurts" I said. Then Jack came closer and he lifted up my hoodie and shirt. He checked my cuts and then he adjusted the wrap. Then he kissed my cheek and walked into the filming room so Kenny slammed me into the wall but this time I didn't fall.

"Good cover up and remember if you tell him I will kill you" he said as he walked into the filming room as well.

Now it is time to get off the bus and go see the Tanners. I walked off the bus and I saw Jack standing by Jenna so I walked over to him. Then I saw Luke and he smiled at me which made me want to puke.

"Hi Em haven't seen you in so long" Jenna said as she hugged me tight which hurt my back. We let go and a tear slipped down. Jack noticed it so he looked at my back and saw that it was bleeding again so he went back in the bus and got a new medical wrap. Then he put it on the whole time he was doing this Jenna and Luke looked confused.

"Em hurt her back and she has a bunch of cuts so it hurts when you touch it" Jack said they both nodded

"So Em how have you been" Luke asked. I realized he looked different his hair was blonder he was muscular and taller.

"Good you" I asked

"Just fine and I noticed that you still look the same as you did four years ago" he said smirking showing his perfectly straight white teeth.

"Well you look different" I said and he laughed. Then we went into the building so we could watch Jack perform.

While Jack was performing Luke and I talked. We learned new things about each other and we just caught up. It was kinda nice to talk to Luke without him trying to kiss me.
