Watching from the Sidelines

Chapter 8

Nadia sat in the Gym, like they usually did every morning, and waited until Raven and Brianna came in. She was actually waiting on Raven, because Brianna was the least of her concerns.

"Hey Nadi", Raven said sitting in the bleachers beside Nadia.

"Hey Ray. What happened to your lip?" Nadia asked.

"Trina's boyfriend hit me", she said.

"What did she do?" Nadia asked standing up, "You can come on, because I'm not waiting on that bitch".

"Why not?" Raven asked getting up and walking out of the Gym with Nadia.

"I'll tell you later, but what did Trina do?"

"I don't know, she wasn't there. I went by her job and told her I was moving out", she said.

"Where are you going to stay?"

"I'm staying with JG and Tony", she replied.

"Why didn't you tell me about you and JG? Jamian said he saw ya'll hugged up yesterday", Nadia said walking towards the cafeteria.

"We aren't together, and that boy did not see me hugged up with JG. JG had his arm around my shoulders, like he always does".

"Thank God, because that niggah trifling. That's cool how he helped you out though", she said getting in line for breakfast.

"I'm not hungry, I'm going to sit down at the table and wait for you", Raven said walking to the table they sit at every morning.

After she sat down, she saw Brianna walk into the cafeteria with Ced. She shook her head before taking her iPod out and putting her headphones in her ears. Brianna walked over to the table and sat down after Ced left her standing there.

"You can't speak?" Brianna asked after Raven put up her iPod.

"Hey Bri", Raven said watching Nadia walk to the table.

"You didn't have to leave me there by myself, and then tell Nadia I begged him. You fake as fuck", Brianna said.

"And you must be dumb as fuck, because you did sit there and beg him. That niggah choked your ass, and you walking in the cafeteria with him like ain't shit happen!"

"I take up for your ass, and this how you treat me?" Brianna asked.

"First of all, you wanted to fight that bitch anyway. I don't have time for this", Raven said walking out of the cafeteria.

Nadia walked to the table and put her tray down.

"What the fuck you say to her?" Nadia asked sitting down.

"I checked her ass. Just like that. She don't need to be going around telling people my business, with her fake ass".

"How she fake? She told me. Something you wasn't going to tell me. Plus you know she going through shit, and she don't need to be dragged into your unnecessary bull shit! If you want to run up behind his doggish ass, you go ahead, but don't expect us for to feel sorry for your ass!" Nadia said getting up to go find Raven.

Left by herself with Nadia's tray, Brianna picked up the tray, and took the tray to the window. She then walked over to where Ced was with his friends.

"Babe can we get up out of here?" she asked touching his shoulder.

"Bri get up off me. Can't you see I'm talking?" he said brushing her hand off his shoulders, "These broads rude as fuck, yo!" He said to his friends and they all began laughing.

Brianna walked off from the scene before they saw her cry. She was out of the cafeteria before her first tear fell.
