Nadia had never ridden the bus home by herself before, so she was a little hesitant to ride. But she had no other choice.
"What's up though?" A guy asked walking up to Nadia's seat on the bus.
She ignored him and continued to look out the window, hoping that he would walk away.
"Yo, I know you heard me talking to you", he said sitting down beside her.
She continued to look out the window, afraid to say the wrong thing.
"Okay, bitch", the guy said leaving Nadia and heading back to his seat at the front of the bus.
The bus ride took at least an hour to get Nadia home, and she still had to walk another mile.
The bus made it to Nadia's stop, and she hurried to get off while others were coming onto the bus. It had started to get dark, and she wanted to make it home before she had anymore guys trying to hit on her.
She had been walking for what felt like an eternity, and decided to make a short cut. She cut through the alley of an old teen club that was shut down because the owner got locked up for drug dealing.
When she first entered the alley, it reeked of pee and garbage. Nadia began speed walking, to get away from the smell.
"Aye, slow down ma", Nadia heard someone yell.
"What?" she asked turning around, "Are you following me?" she asked walking faster.
"I'm just trying to talk to you", he said jogging up to her.
Nadia began running as fast as she could. She had made it out of the alley, and when she looked back, he was gone.
She wished she had someone to call, so that she would feel safe, but in actuality she had no one.
She had ruined a good friendship with Raven, and her and Brianna weren't on speaking terms as well. Her mom wouldn't stay on the phone, because she would claim it ran her minutes up.
Nadia continued walking, making sure to watch her surroundings. It had gotten dark outside, and she was making sure no one was following her. She was at least five minutes away from home. There was another shortcut coming up, and her apartment complex was right behind the building. It would only take her two minutes if she cut through the alley. With her ankles hurting, she took her chances. Before entering the alley, she looked around, and she didn't see anyone.
Nadia ran into the alley still looking behind her. When she turned around, it was too late. She ran right into the guy she had been running from all night. The collision caused Nadia to fall back.
"Get away from me!" Nadia screamed, trying to get up and run. He grabbed her hair before she could get anywhere.
"I told you I was just trying to talk to your ass. See, bitches like you make it hard for niggas like me to be fucking nice", he spat at her.
"Let me go! Help!" she screamed.
"Bitch yell again, and I'll put two in your fucking head", the guy said raising his shirt to show his gun.
When Nadia saw the gun, her eyes buldged out of her head, "Oh my God, please don't hurt me".
He pulled the gun from his waist and held it in the air.
"I ain't gone shoot you ma", he said before hitting Nadia in the face with the butt of the gun.
He quickly put the gun back into the waist ban of his pants, and struck her again, this time with his fist. He continued to beat her, until she was lying barely conscious in a fetal position.
"Now you can't fight it", he said unzipping his pants.
He knelt down and grabbed Nadia's hands, holding them over her head. He proceeded to rip open her shirt, and pulled up her skirt.
"Please, don't", she mumbled before going unconscious, and right before he ripped her panties off.
"Aye yall, the police out here", Jamian said to his two homeboys.
"They look like the headed to your house", one of them replied.
"Hold up", Jamian said before taking off running after the police cars and ambulance.
They made it to the alley, and it seemed like everybody was running to see what was going on.
"Yo, what's going on?" Jamian asked a girl when he made it. The whole entire neighborhood was trying to see what was going on.
"Some girl got killed, or raped or something", she replied never looking at him.
"Damn, that's fucked up," he said before turning to walk off.
"I'll catch of with y'all niggas tomorrow," he said to his friends.
He started walking, and heard someone shout his name, "Jay, Jay somebody raped your sister!"
"What?" he asked turning around.
"Yo, somebody got your sister dog, beat her and shit", a guy said out of breath from catching up with Jamian.
"Fuck!" Jamian yelled, brushing past the dude and rushing back to the crowd.
"Move!" he yelled pushing through, "Get out the fucking way!"
"I got a pulse!" he heard one of the paramedics yell.
"Let me through! That's my sister man!" he yelled at the police.
The officer raised the yellow tape, and let him in.
"Nadi!" Jamian cried when he saw his sister's bloody body on the stretcher, still exposed.
"Man cover her up!" he yelled at the paramedic, before pulling the sheet up to Nadia's neck.
"Aye B!" Jamian said going back to the crowd, "Go get my mama man!" he yelled at his friend.
"What?" Brandon asked.
"Man, go get my fucking mama!" Jamian yelled.
"Yo, where y'all taking her? I'm riding with her!" he yelled as the paramedics closed the door to the ambulance.
"I'm sorry, you can't ride on the ambulance sir", the man said before getting in the driver's side.
