BANG BANG BANG!! "What the hell?" It's 5 am why is someone banging on my front door? BANG BANG BANG!! There it goes again what is going on? Maybe if I just ignore it, they'll stop.

This goes on for around 15 minutes before it finally stops. Whenever it does, I wait a few more minutes just before going down to be sure the person actually left. Once getting assured of this I get up and walk downstairs to see nothing standing at the door or outside the windows.

I put in some flip flops and open the front door to have a look around when I stop noticing a little basket placed on my doorstep with a note attached reading 'Tell her I am sorry, I wish I could've kept her and raised her myself but I have proven unable. To my beloved daughter Tink don't hate me I am doing this so you can live a better life than the one I could provide. I love you, my dear little Tink.'

I am shocked at what I read; some parent dropped their baby off at my doorstep. I lean down and look to see the baby inside of the basket sleeping peacefully.

I sigh, pick the basket up and bring her inside. "Oh boy what do I do?" I can't take her to Foster care for all I know she'd just be thrown wherever, and I don't know if I am going to be able to take care of a child. I didn't get much more sleep that night I stayed up the whole time thinking of what to do.

When I see the sun rising, I know I can't go to work yet so I make a phone call saying I won't be coming in. Afterward, I hear giggling coming from the basket. I look over to see the baby Tink looking around giggling at the surroundings, I don't know why but her laughs put me at ease. Like some sort of emptiness, I had just got filled.

I sigh and reluctantly pick up the baby and hold her up. "I guess you're staying with me from now on Tink." She spits on herself some and erupts into laughter. "Oh God, this is going to be rough." I take my phone and call up one of my coworkers that I know have children and ask her if she could come over today and I'll excuse her from work because I needed her help with something. She agrees since it's a free day out of work. When she arrives, I tell her about the situation and ask her of some essentials for a baby to have.

"Oh God Mr. Venom this highly unexpected of what I thought you wanted. Hold on I need a pen and paper." I hand one to her knowing she'd say that, I wouldn't be where I am now if I didn't learn to anticipate. She writes down a full front and back page of baby essentials as well as tips to baby proof a house.

"Thank you for this Joyce. As per my word, you are excused from work and you'll still be paid for the day." She thanks me and heads out. I look at the chair so see Tink sleeping soundly, "what the how? She was just sleeping all night?" I pick her up and take her upstairs to my bed so that I could get some sleep and keep her by my side. I take a pillow and blanket fort around the bed so she couldn't roll off if she moved in her sleep.

Just before going to sleep though I smell a very foul stench and get up to find it. After a few seconds, I realize it's the smell of shit. I look over at the baby and instantaneously know that this is going to be a rough time for me and Tink but I'll have to power through.
