Chapter 5: Rewards

"Mmfm what time is it." I say in a gravelly voice. I look at the clock and it's just past 9am. "Sigh, I'd better get ready for the day." I get out my bed, shirtless and only in my sleeping pants, go into my bathroom and look in the mirror to see my mess of morning hair. "Ugly crap. Where's my hair stuff." I look under the sink and grab my hair gel and combination and start to fix my mess of a head. Maybe I'll try that hairstyle I saw on YouTube.

When I'm finished, I admire myself and my newfound hairstyle. "I am handsome aren't I." I say smirking at myself in the mirror devilishly.

In the middle of doing so I hear tapping on my bathroom door. I look over to see Tink looking downwards blushing slightly. Weird kid sometimes. "Umm Boss?" She says nervously.

"Yes Tink." I say back giving her my attention.

"Well you know you said if I did good yesterday, we'd do something fun today so umm what are we doing?" She says still sounding nervous while fiddling with her fingers.

I giggle a little and smile. "Yes, I remember and you did so as your reward we'll be going out to two places. The plaza to get you a present of your choice as a reward and then we'll be going to the amusement park as the second part." She smiles hugely with excitement.

"Really! Yaaay!" She is obviously ecstatic with the news and runs to her room to get something. When she comes back, she is holding something behind her back. "Umm Boss another thing. A few weeks ago, I started making this and I figured that after what I did this would be a good time to give it to you." She removes from behind her back a 3d model of a cell she made out of Styrofoam and a variety of other materials. "Ms. Osborne helped me finish it yesterday while you were at work. It is also what I was hiding under my bed the other morning." So that explains her suspiciousness and why her room looked so clean, to not misplace it.

I grab it from her and examine it and I'll be damned if she didn't get every detail from human cell included in this. "How come you made this for me?" I say curious.

"Well you work with cells and stuff and I thought that you would like this. Do you like it?" She says her smile slowly going away.

"I love it Tink. Thank you for making this for me. I'll be sure to thank Ms. Osborne as well for helping you complete it." She smiles and walks out the bathroom. "Oh, be sure to get some breakfast we'll be out for a long time today!" I say loudly from in the bathroom to her. She says ok and goes downstairs. I finish prepping myself and then head downstairs to see Tink watching TV. "Did you eat something?" I ask her.

"Yes, I had some cereal. The bowl and spoon are in the sink." She says. I check and sure enough, she is telling the truth. Not that I expected her to lie but just wanting to be sure.

"Alright, I'm going to eat something and drink my coffee then we can go."

"Ok, da--Boss." What the? Did she almost call me Dad?

"Uh ok."

~Twenty minutes later~

"Ok, Tink let's go!" I say with a hint of extra happiness.

"Yess!" She runs to the car and I laugh at her excitement. When I get in, I start the car and we head to the plaza perfectly named Riverwood Plaza. When we get there, we go to the toy store part of it called Toys 4 You.

"Go ahead Tink I'll be behind you. Find something you like." With those words, she dashes into the isles upon isles of toys. "Oh geez." I speed walk behind her in an attempt to keep up but man she's too fast and just like I was hoping not to I lose her. "Shit shit shit. Tink!" I say loudly looking for her. "TIIINK!" I say screaming her name. Damn this store is big. I walk around some more before asking people have they seen a small girl with green hair. But no one has. "Noooo TIIINK!" I yell again. By now I've drawn a crowd looking at me screaming in this toy store but I didn't care my only care right now is finding Tink.
