What is it about Mr. Venom that is so reminiscent of the past? I mean it's quite the coincidence he and Travis both have white hair especially considering the only person I've ever met with white hair was their father all those years ago at my friend's party.
And we only ever went on like two dates until we 'sealed the deal' but I never saw him again after and I never got his contact information to tell him I was pregnant. Oh well, I'm happy with the life I got to live with my boys thus far no need to think about it.
I finish buying Keith his toy and meet Mr. Venom outside by his....2021 Mustang? "That's an umm mighty nice car you got there Mr. Venom hehe. Definitely not the same one you had when you got Tink." I no doubt sound nervous saying this.
"Huh oh yeah this car is for days when Tink and I have fun, she likes it. The other one is for business endeavors." I say oh in an embarrassing way and head to my car. "Oh, you can ride with us we have room. I can call a guy to take your car to my house and you can get it there when we head home so to not inconvenience you with having to come back here."
"Oh well that's very nice of you Mr. Venom thank you. Just let me grab something out of my car really quick. Tell him I'll leave the keys under the passenger seat." He says ok and gets on the phone while I go to the car to grab my wallet, phone and a picture of him and me from all that time ago. Though it's pretty faded so his face is pretty hard to see.
"Hey Bell, the guy said he'll be here in twenty minutes. Are you fine with your car being here for that long?" He asks me.
"Yeah, it's no problem." I put all my stuff in my pockets and go over to Mr. Venom's car. I get in the front the passenger seat and Tink, Travis, and Keith get in the back, Tink in the middle. "Seat belts kids," I say looking at them in the rearview mirror.
Keith and Tink put their seat belts in while Travis scoffs. "Lame, where is the fun if there isn't a risk of danger?" He says looking out the window. Before I can say something to him Mr. Venom intervenes and says something.
"You want to risk safety for fun but what are you going to do when your dead and can't have your fun?" What in the hell! Who says that to a kid.
"Uh, Mr. Ven--."
"You have a point there Venom. If I'm gone then the reign of tko ends." After saying that confusing response he puts on his seatbelt and looks out the window.
I look at Mr. Venom confused and whisper to him. "How did you know that would work?" I need to know this tactic.
He simply laughs and starts the car. "I used to be like him when I was younger, it's all depressing analogies and good wordplay to trick him into doing what you want." He does a sly grin and begins the drive to the amusement park.
I with no hesitation pull out my phone to look up what kind of analogies and wordplay I need to know to have this kind of effect more often. Surprisingly it's not that hard, I'll be sure to try this the next time he acts out.
"You deep in research over there?" He says glancing over very quickly than returning his eyes to the road.
I caught off guard respond shakily. "Oh uh, y-yea I am." I laugh a little and so does he. "I got to learn how you did that so I was well looking up how hehe."
"Aah well, good luck with that. If you haven't been there yourself it's pretty hard. I myself didn't stop my gothic phase until around twelve years ago."
Same age as Travis and Keith. "What happened twelve years ago?" I ask, there are quite a few parallels between him and my past that I have noticed.
"Quite a bit actually. I met this one girl at a party and we had a 'good' connection if you get what I mean. We didn't get to go on many dates though because after the second or third date, I can't remember which, I found Tink on my doorstep and I had to make the choice to change for her."
Met a girl? Two or three dates and a connection? Was he? No, he could have been. "Umm Mr. Venom if you don't mind me asking....what's your first name?" This feels so rude to ask.
"Oh, my name? Well, it's--."
"Boss how much longer till we get there?" Tink says to him. He stops talking to me and answers her question.
"We have about thirteen more minutes before we get there." He tells her.
"Ok boss, umm can I use your phone for videos? I left mines at home." She asks him nervously.
He sighs and hands it to her. "Nothing with excessive cursing." She nods and starts watching videos while Travis and Keith watch with her. "Now what were you saying Bell?" Mr. Venom says to me.
"Oh, I was just going to ask you your name, saying Mr. Venom all the time is kind of pointless outside of a professional setting." I scratch my chin when I finish and give a slight chuckle.
"Then just call me Venom." I was going to refute wanting to know his name but it's not like he has to tell me. So, I just say ok and leave it be.
When we finally get to the amusement park, we take another good five minutes just to find some good parking. Once that boring search is done, we get out and Tink gets Venom to give him his phone. While they are talking Venom's phone rings and a quick glance showed the name saying 'Nuisance.'
"Ugh give me a minute, here's my card Bell can you buy us all tickets while I take this?" He extends his arm with the card in his fingers, I grab it to leave and take the kids to the booth to get tickets. But before I do, I take out the picture of Travis and Keith Dad and me from twelve years ago and hold it up to get a side by side of Venom and him. However, it's no use the picture is to faded to see so I just put it back in my pocket.

"What is it Professor Poison? I am kind of busy at the moment." I say with irritation in my voice.
She gets flustered before responding. "Uh um it's the p-project." She says obviously nervous.
I sigh and pinch the brim of my nose annoyed. "What about it?"
"Well the prototype is around 60% complete but we have run me to some problems. We can't find any more dormant DNA in the cells that can be activated or changed to finish it. We need your help to find what he cannot." Her tone changes from nervous to serious.
"Sigh I'll come on Monday and look on it then until that point stays overseeing the project."
"Yes, sir." She hangs up and I put my phone away. When I walk to the booth to catch up with Bell and the kids, I see a paper on the ground, when I pick it up, I get shivers down my spine.
This is me! But with who? And when did I take this? My mind becomes bombarded with questions. In the midst of them, I can hear Tink calling to me. "Boss! You coming?" She says loudly.
I slip the picture into my pocket and hurry to the booth. "Sorry about that couldn't miss that call." Bell hands me my ticket and we all go into the amusement park. When we go in Tink and Keith drag Bell away to the nearest ride leaving Travis and I standing there. "Aren't you interested in going?" I ask him monotone.
He scoffs and looks at me speaking in a similar monotone voice. "For what it's not like this is the only time in my life I'll be able to do something menial like this. Besides I only came so that my mom wouldn't take my hair dye out yet."
"Can't arguewith that logic. I do want to ask about the hair dye if you don't mind, also dowant to get something to eat while they play?" He nods and we walk over tothe food area of the amusement park and try some kind of Oreo baked inside somechocolate cookie dough. I text Bell to tell her where we are and we sit downeating our bizarre food while talking to get to know each other more.
