As we sit awkardly in Professor X's office, my face burning in embarrassment, a new question pops into my head. I snap my head up, making eye contact with Charles.
"What exactly are my 'powers'?" I ask, my voice cracking thus making my face turn a darker shade of red. Charles just smiles. I am still refusing to look at Casper and the best part is, he knows I don't want to look at him. My lips curl up in a smirk as I wait for Charles to answer.
"Scarlet, I can't tell you the full extent of your gifts. Only you can do that. I know you have a strange conductivity abitily. Your flesh turns solid silver and electric shocks occur if anyone touches you in this form. I don't know how well you can control it. I don't know if you can project your shocks from your body, but I intend to find out," Charles says, watching my reactions closely. I nod, absorbing the information. Most of this I already knew, but what if I can project my sparks? The image of me, completly silver except for my hair, blasting a lightening bolt from my palm flashes into my mind. I giggle, looking down at my hands.
"Wow," is all I manage to say. Charles chuckles at my response, turning to face Casper.
"Casper, please escort Scarlet to the dorm she will be sharing with Bianca. She's probably exhausted from all this in one day, don't you think?" Professor X says smugly, glancing between the space that has grown between us. Casper just nods, standing quickly. I follow suit, but turn again to face Charles.
"Oh, thanks, by the way," I blush, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"Anytime, my dear," Charles responds, giving me a half smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. I nod and turn back around and face Casper. He throws the door open and storms out, leaving me jog slightly to catch up.
