I'm soaring through the sky on beautiful metal wings. The air parts around my body and I know where the strongest currents are. This freedom of earthly problems is truly gratifying. I'm soaring, my problems melting away and being replaced by joy.
"It's fun, isn't it?" he says. My dream self is startled by the sudden company. It's that brittish man, his voice deep and powerful. I search the skies for this man, as confusion sets in. I can HEAR him but I can't SEE him. What? He chuckles at my obvious confusion.
"Don't worry, Scarlet. You will awaken shortly. But, I wanted to inform you of your new surroundings," he pauses, letting his message sink in. "You'll be integrated into a unique school environment. My school, actually. Xavier's School for Gifted youngsters, to be exact," his voice fills my head, consuming my thoughts. Anxiety rushes through my body, causing my throat to feel dry.
"Don't worry. My students are all uniquely gifted, just like you. They're training to be the great and powerful mutants that they were born to be," he sighs, smiling. I don't know how I know he's smiling but I do. As he's talking to me, I continue my flight through the sky, absorbing his words and the experience. But my mind sticks to one word that the man said. "Mutants".
"Who are you?" I ask nervously, sucking in a deep breath. He chuckles at my question, obviously amused by the fact that that's my only question.
"My name is Charles Xavier, but my students call me Professor X," his voice fades out as he laughs, falling back into the darkness of my sleep.

I'm being shaken awake gently. My eyes snap open and I meet Casper's crystalline blue eyes.
"There she is... Good morning, princess," he laughs. Princess? What the hell? "I was worried you were dead there for a while. You're such a heavy sleeper."
I yawn and swat his arm, "You need to shush and let me sleep," I respond. I open my eyes again anyway, not because he woke me up but because I wanted to wake up. Duh.
"Where are we going, anyway?" I ask, sitting up all the way. I then realize that I fell asleep on Casper's shoulder. Thank God I didn't drool on him.
"We're going home," and with that, he takes my hand in his and kisses the top of it gently, just as we begin our descent back down to earth.
