Previously on love, Elliot: I received a fax. From an unknown number. It seemed to be from Elliot Kingston. What?

We went out for dinner later that night. I don't think I have ever seen my dad this happy in such a long time. He kept putting his arm around my shoulder, and hugged me every 2 seconds. Its time like these that I figure, that he misses mom the most. Our birthday dinners were huge but now, I'm scared to notice we've moved past that already.

I couldn't take my mind off of the fax. Elliot Kingston. That sounds familiar. My thoughts were interrupted by someone yelling in the kitchen of the Wendy's outlet we were at. 'Elliot! Yo, Elliot where are you? You've got a call, hurry up!", yelled a bus boy.

There he is again. I saw him with gloves on his hands, and a hairnet on his head. Wearing that same worn -out jumper, Elliot swept his bangs to the sides of his face. Why is he everywhere I go?

'Darling, I noticed you got the fax machine already set up in your bedroom', I heard dad mummer. I looked at him with confusion and then realization slapping me across the face.

'OH! erm...yeah dad. I am sorry. I was way too curious to open up the giant package we received at  our doorstep.'

'It's fine. It is your birthday present.'

'What? It is?', I half screamed. 'I know you enjoy vintage and antiques, so why not get you one?, he said with a smile on his face. I hugged him as tight as I could. I wondered how much it would've cost. Machines like this are expensive, and we already need the money for my college tuition.

'Thank you, thank you, thank you!'.

Claudia and Vivian both came up to my room that night. We watched 'The midnight sun' until I saw the time on my alarm clock. Checking on both of them, I was about to shut off my lamp, when I hear the same screeching sound.

The fax machine.

I switched on my reading light on my desk and carefully took out the fax:

Dear Tom,

I am hoping you receive this fax, as I have been counting on you for my college money. Dad's not home yet. I hope to talk to him about me moving out and living in with you. Listen, I need this money. This might be my big break. I cannot fall behind this time.

I just can't.

Ever since mom died, my dad has increased his anger on me, he keeps shouting at me for not being good enough. I am hopeless Tom. I tried talking to Todd they day before, since he's the owner of the car wash company I work in, he says he might be able to solve my problem.

I hope you reply. I need you.

Love, Elliot.
