DJ's fingers were laced with Kath's as they walked into the restaurant together as a family and he smiled at the look of complete shock on her face as she looked around the busy restaurant.
"This is crazy." She mumbled, making him laugh and he kissed her hand, following his parents as the waiter led them to a table and they all sat down together, being handed menus but Kath was clueless as she looked at it.
"You have a choice, sweetheart, of what you want," Karla said, opening the menu for her so Kath could read what was inside.
"I have a choice?"
"Of course! You can choose what sounds nice." Karla said, Miles leaning over to explain the menu and restaurant process more to her since as she was next to her and DJ was on her other side, watching the two girls together. Rommel and Karla were opposite them.

"Excuse me, ma'am?" A waiter said to Miles, making her turn her head.
"Yes?"
"This drink is from that man over there at the bar." The waiter said, motioning with his head towards a man sat alone at the bar and he placed a glass of red wine in front of her.
"Oh... thank you." Miles breathed, watching the waiter walk away and she couldn't help but smile at the man who sent it and he returned it, but he quickly turned his head, shy and the waiter walked away.
"Go talk to him!" DJ encouraged and Miles's eyes widened.
"Are you kidding me? No! What if he's a psycho?" Miles whispered, even though it'd be impossible for the man to hear him.
"Then you make an excuse and come back! Go get your flirt on!" Rommel encouraged and Miles groaned, picking up the glass of wine.
"Fine, but only so you never talk like that again." Miles reluctantly agreed, everybody watching her as she walked towards the bar. "Hi." She greeted and the man smiled.
"Hi... please tell me you're old enough to drink." He said and Miles couldn't help but laugh, nodding her head.
"My Dad would be over here if I wasn't," Miles said and he smiled. "I'm Miles." She introduced and he grinned, holding out his hand and she shook it, both of them blushing slightly.
"I'm Marco." He introduced himself. "Would you like to join me?" He asked and Miles nodded her head.
"Sure." She agreed, setting her drink on the bar before sitting on the stool next to his. "So, do you do this often? Sending drinks over to girls in restaurants?"
"This is actually my first time, actually... I saw it in movies and I've always wanted to try it." He admitted, chuckling shyly as she laughed.

"They look cute together." Kath said and DJ rolled his eyes.
"He better get his hands off my sister." DJ mumbled, but he chuckled when Kath swatted him.

"You were just encouraging her to go and talk to him!" She reminded him.
"Yes, but that was before they got all smiley and laughy together." DJ defended himself, Rommel and Karla chuckling as Kath rolled her eyes playfully.
"And this is with Miles - imagine what he'll be like when that baby is here," Rommel said, chuckling as that got both DJ and Kath to blush.
"I've been thinking, though, about my idea for a job," DJ said and Kath looked over at him.
"Yeah?"
"I want you to do a speed draw on my channel." DJ said and Kath's eyebrows creased in confusion.
"What's that?"
"You draw something - maybe video game related to keeping with my channel and we have the camera over your hand so the audience just see what you're drawing... then we speed the footage up, put some music over it... you never know, someone big in art might see it," DJ said and Kath bit her lip.
"I don't know anything about video games."
"I'll introduce you to a couple I think you'd like," DJ said and Kath smiled softly, nodding her head.
"I like drawing, so... okay." She agreed, smiling wider when DJ leaned in and kissed her and she kissed him back quickly.
"You're an artist?" Karla said and Kath nodded her head.
"People leave newspapers and old pens around in public places all the time... it was something to do to fill up the day, but I love drawing."
"She's so talented, Mom," DJ said, making Kath blush and he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, kissing her temple.
"I have no doubt about that!" Rommel said, making Kath blush more.
"Are you ready to order?" The waiter asked as he returned and DJ went to stand up.
"I'll grab Miles." He said, but Rommel pulled him back down.
"Leave her be with the boy! She knows where we are." Rommel said.
"So much for you being protective!" DJ jokingly scolded, making Rommel chuckle but he watched with his wife as DJ helped Kath to order, since the whole ordering process was new to her.
It had been a long day for all of them, but they were just beyond relieved that it was ending on something positive - they still had each other, and their family was growing. They were a family and nothing would ever change that.
