By the time she woke up, the train already stopped and she knew she has arrived in Los Angeles. It was time to start her life afresh. She has to be strong for her baby, it doesn't matter now what she has to go through, she must endure it all  and face life head on.

Ava arrived at Los Angeles at night. She picked a cab and told the driver to drop her at any motel where she can pass the night.

The driver dropped her at the central inn motel. She walked to the receptionist and asked for a room, she was going to pay for 3days. Once she had made the payment and the key was handed over to her, she made her way to the room and ordered dinner.

After having dinner, she laid down on the bed. She knew she had to sleep early, so as to wake up early. Tomorrow she will start job hunting and once she gets a job, she would rent a small apartment close to her working place.

That night it rained heavily, with a lot of thunder and lightning. She couldn't sleep, she was panicking. At the sound of thunder she was jump.

Ava has been suffering Astraphobia since she was 5, after she lost her parent in the accident.

She was with her parents that night of the accident. Her dad was driving the car, her mom was sitting at the co-pilot seat, and she was at the back seat, maybe that's why she survived the crash.

Little Ava was singing and bouncing. Which her parents joined her and they sang along. Her dad's hands were on the wheel, while her mom clapped her hands, giving beats to the song, as she swayed her heads from side to side. Ava copied her mom's action.

That night, it was raining heavily, there was great thunder and lightning, and the roads were covered with water.

Their car was just about to pass an electricity pole when the thunder strucked and the pole fell on their car and that was the end of both her parents.

"Mommy." she called her mom but no response, then she called her dad, still no response.

Then she tried shaking her mom but still yet no response. Little Ava became afraid, and when the thunder strucked again, she started crying.

"Mommy... "

**The present**

Ava was now pacing all around the room, she thought of going to the lobby, but she does not want anyone to think of her as crazy, and just like that she started crying.

"Danny... " Ava cried calling her Danny.

"Mommy..."

Ava has already turned 6 at that time. After a few weeks, after she was adopted, there was an heavy downpour.

Little Ava has already been tugged in by Kimberly. But then it started raining. And there was thunder and lightning. Little Ava immediately got up from her bed and ran to Daniel's room which was beside her own room.

Daniel was about to get into bed, when Ava rushed in.

"Hey little princess, why ain't you sleeping?"

"Dann..." before Ava could finish what she wanted to say, the thunder strucked again. She flinched and immediately ran towards Daniel, then Daniel went down to her height.

"You scared of thunder?" he asked and Ava nodded. He lifted her up and placed her on his bed, then covered her with the duvet. Daniel switched off the lights and joined Ava on the bed and Ava went closer to him and they both slept.

Again the thunder strucked, even though Ava was already asleep, subconsciously she would flinch but Daniel, would always coze her.

"It's okay Princess, I'm here with you." she will nod and then go back to sleep.
