Chapter10

Mr. Alpha Ass POV

"Hey, Ryan, What's up?" Alex asks breathlessly as he enters my office in a rush. I just stare at him blankly thinking about how to start up the conversation, thinking about whether I should tell him that Riley has alpha blood running in her body as well as me. What the fuck and how the fuck should I tell him.

I take a deep breath and just stare at him which is making him uncomfortable. "Dude, you are creeping me out right now," he says in a serious tone. I take a long breath and nod to myself concluding. In any other situation, I would have laughed at Alex's expression but not now.

"Riley is an alpha and there is someone ready to knock me out to help Riley to keep her profile low which is what happened the night of her first shift," I say it all in one breath. Alex takes his time processing what I said. His expression is emotionless for a few seconds before it goes cold. He didn't look surprised at my confession because he was already saying only an alpha can go against the alpha's order which is pretty much what she did when she was new to this pack. He kinda always guessed she is an alpha, but we brushed it off.

He takes a deep breath to cool himself off. "So you are telling there is someone in our pack who helps Riley to keep her secret. This means that the person who is helping Riley is more loyal to her than you," he says as he thinks about something so deeply.

We both sit in silence as we think of different possibilities of what's going on and what the fuck happened in her past. I don't want to think she has been abused in the past, but it is obvious she has been abused by the way she acted during her punishment.

"Do you think she is here to take over the pack? I mean she is an alpha and it is in alpha's nature to protect their pack at any cost and maybe her pack is in danger so she is trying to take over our pack?" Alex explains and shakes his head at his thoughts while I look at him like he suddenly grew two heads. He looks at my expression and gives me a small shrug, not arguing with me about his thoughts being ridiculous because he knows how ridiculous that sounds. We both know Riley for a long time and we both know she isn't a one who likes backstabbers, especially be one.

I look at Alex and start to tell what I think "It is something related to her past, my best guess is that, that past can again happen in the present and that is the reason she is hiding in our pack as an omega. I mean did you look at her when she was in the platform getting whiplashes from me" I conclude with a shrug. I look at Alex and I know he agrees with my theory too.

"I just hope that someone who is helping Riley helps her with some good intentions. I do hope that" I say as I grit out my teeth at another thought of that person who hit me in my head that night is using her against her own will to take my pack away by blackmailing or something. I quickly dismiss my thoughts and decided to wait for her to share about her past to me willingly.

"I am going to kill you brother," my sister says as she enters my office without a knock on the door. Only she has the guts to do that. I nod at her giving her full permission to give whatever punishment she feels suitable for whipping my mate. I look at Alex who is looking at Ari and me with a confused state before he realizes why my sis is dead set on killing me.

He looks at me and my sis before getting up slowly and walking out of the room without gaining my sister's attention towards him. I look at my sis to see her looking at me with so much anger that I drop my gaze to look down at my desk. "Hey, did you by chance know if Riley is...good?" Evan's loud voice drops as soon as he sees my sister's look.

Evan looks at my sis awkwardly before literally running out of the room. I roll my eyes at his action but didn't dare to open my mouth to mock at him. "I am sorry I did that to her but being an alpha, I have my duties to fulfill. I deserve a punishment and I will do anything you ask me to though looking at her scars every day will always be my biggest punishment," I say looking at my desk, never once looking at Ari to see her expression.

I suddenly feel two arms around me from my back and I relax from my stiff posture knowing I got my forgiveness from my sis. "I know you are sorry Ryan and I hope you will make it up for her though all she was doing was defending me it's your job and you don't have to apologize," she says as she lets go of me and walking out of my office with a small goodbye.
