Chapter 23

Riley's POV

I wake up still in wolf form and look up to see Ryan's wolf sleeping peacefully. I roll my eyes stretching my aching body because of the uncomfortable position I slept in. I nudge him with my snout to wake him up, which has a result as he stirs and opens his eyes slowly. Looking at me he gives me a wolfish grin making me grin back at him. It's been a while since I had a good night sleep.

It's early in the morning now. I have lots of plans for today...pack meeting, meet Ari, meet pack members, meet my sister(cousin) if possible, spend some time with Ryan. Yeah, that's lots of plans.

We both run back to the pack house and shift, getting comfortable with his shirt I sit in our bed and wait for him to come from wherever he went to. Few minutes is all it took for him to come into the room and sit beside me. I sigh as I lean my head on his shoulder.

"I hope pack members won't object to the plans we made for our pack," he says my exact thought. I nod my head without using my words, because right now I am a bit nervous to speak. I bite down on my lower lip and stare at the wall, deep into my thoughts.

He lets out a long sigh, "I have just mind linked Alex to arrange for the pack meeting. He said its better we make our announcement during breakfast which is in an hour," he finishes making my eyes go wide.

I tilt my head to look at him deep in thought, "Okay, let's do it," I give him an encouraging nod though I am not sure its for him or for myself. I just realized I don't have much clothes here so I walk towards Ari's room to borrow one. I knock on her door, waiting for a few seconds before the door opens. She looks at me wide eyed before pulling me into an bone crushing hug.

"I have wanted to meet you yesterday, but Ryan said you were sleeping and when I tried to meet you at dinner you weren't there. When I went to your room, you and Ryan both were not there. Where were you? Oh, that doesn't matter. What do you want?," she rambles while I just stand there and smile at her patiently.

"We went for a run yesterday. Do you have a nice t-shirt and a jean for me to borrow?," I ask her tilting my head to the side and she nods her head eagerly before walking off into her closet. I wait for more than five minutes when she returns back with a green tee and black ripped jean. I nod at that and take the dress.

"I will change here, we have a pack meeting during breakfast. Want to walk with me?," I question her. Though I want to walk with Ryan, walking with Ari would make the situation a lot less lighter. She gives me a look saying 'Do you even have to ask that' to which I give her sheepish smile in return.

Not long after we all are gathered around dining hall, chatting around and getting along well with other pack members. I look at Ryan who is busy looking around the hall and when his eyes meets mine he motions for me to join him. I tell Ari a small 'I will meet you soon' and walk off towards Ryan.

A few minutes after I join him, he clears his throat gaining attention of all the pack members. "We have an important announcement here. We decided to join our pack without further ado. Though we thought it would be good if I be the alpha...," he trails off making me look at him in confusion.

"I hope you wouldn't mind if your pack doesn't have an luna...instead we would have two alphas," he finishes making my eyes go wide.
