Chapter 24

Riley's POV

I couldn't believe he just said that. This would become a major problem if pack members don't accept this. What was he even thinking when he announced that. It would be a lie if I say I am mad at him. I am happy that he did this, but I am mad he didn't discuss with me about this beforehand. I look at my pack members who started talking among themselves about their next move. I am happy that my pack mingled with Ryan's pack just right. If they accept this, I would be so happy to call this pack as 'OUR' pack.

Ryan's arm tightens around me in a way which lets me know he is not sure what to do if pack members says no. I relax against him as I softly play with his fingers around my waist. "It's going to be okay," I whisper to him and he just nods his head as a reply.

"I am happy with this arrangement," I hear Evan shout from the crowd followed by Alex with his hand raised saying a small "Why not," with a shrug.

"I have known both of them for years and I know they are going to do a incredible job in protecting our pack. Though Riley is going to be alpha, I am sure she can also manage the work of luna which mostly consists of taking care of pack members concern and hosting parties," Evan says to all the pack members to which they all listen intently.

Ryan sighs at people who still are confused. "Raise your hands if you accept this," he says to which 90% of the people raised their hand immediately. Remaining people hesitantly but slowly raise their hand which made Ryan sigh in relief.

"It is decided then," I sigh happily and give pack members huge smile which most of them returned. I call Alex and Evan telling them about the arrangements for the extra pack members. They assured they will take care of it. I smile at them as they patted my shoulder and walk away to tend the new pack members.

I lean more into Ryan's warmth smiling at the sight in front of me. I am happy and content with the way things turned out.

Ryan leans down and whispers in my ear making goosebumps rise on my arm. "Wanna go on a date with me?," he asks and I nod my head smiling brightly. Did he hear my thoughts last night? Is that why he is asking me out today? Ah...this is embarrassing...

"It's not embarrassing," he chuckles quietly as he walks away. I groan as my face flushes bright red at this. I should practice more on blocking my thoughts from him.

"What has made you blush this red, Ri?" Ari asks which makes me blush even more. I shake my head clearing my throat as I walk with Ari to her room. I have a date and I have no idea how to get ready.

"Um...Ari, I have a date today. No idea on how to get ready though," I finish, clearly uncomfortable to talk about dates to the girl I have talked about how much I hate this cliche date stuffs. I didn't notice at first how Ari's eyes widened like saucers before she claps her hand trying to contain her excitement.

She walks into her closet and brings out a shiny silver crop top with denim shorts and a black jacket adding for the look. She orders me to wear this and boots to go with the dress. I look at her confused on why she is bringing these when I thought she would bring out a nice....floral dress? I snicker at my own thought.

"Trust me on this. I just had a talk with Ryan," she assures me and I give her a tight hug talking the clothes with me

Well, This is going to be an interesting day...
