The Alpha

Chapter 19

Ryan's POV

As a pack, we started sprinting towards the rogue territory. I don't have any idea about where the rogue territory is, but my dad have had the slightest idea and kept notes of it. Becoming a new alpha at such a young age, I didn't have much guidance except for the notes and points my dad have said me. I am grateful I remember such small things. My pack trusts me and follows me wherever I am heading to. I am not so sure that the rogues are still there, but I am trying to not overthink and check it first.

I tried mind-linking Riley, but she has blocked me not like I didn't expect that from her(insert eyeroll). Anyways, my goal is to bring Riley back and maybe lock her so she can't run away from me...as if it will happen(insert eyeroll again).

'I can see you are in deep thought,' Alex says in mind-link and I just puff out air annoyance. Only if he knows what my so-called deep thoughts are.

'Don't worry, I am not losing my mind here,' I tell him and I can hear him growl at me playfully. We always do that, I don't know why. My pack members would say that the bond between us, as in me, Alex and Evan is much more than what we show. We are like siblings, same thoughts, same character, same silliness...only during pack matters we would act according to our ranks.

'I think we are near, I can smell them from here,' Evan says in disgust making me laugh at him through mind-link. It is funny how I am so calm and cool about this matter which directly links to our mate. It's as if my wolf knows nothing big is gonna happen today. Whatever happens, I should be prepared though.

We have finally reached there and what I see right now makes me freeze in my place. I see that disgusting rogue and Riley kissing and I can see she is even participating in it instead of pushing him away. The kiss looks nasty, I am being frank here not because its my mate kissing someone else. I tried to connect with Riley's wolf but I think she hid her wolf, which means I can't feel her emotions. Woah, is this really what I expected no, but am I gonna suddenly judge her and come to conclusions, NO WAY.

That rogue looks at me and smirks as he starts touching her waist and moving his hands downwards. Yeah, I am definitely pissed right now.

"You are giving us a show fine, but you should be talking right now. You are the alpha, correct?," Alex asks in a mocking way making him turn towards us. Riley looks at me, searching my eyes for something before moving away from that bastard discreetly. I look at her in confusion before focusing on the situation at hand.

Daniel looks towards me and gives me a cocky smirk. "Riley would explain the situation, won't you?", he asks Riley as his hands goes around her small waist. My eyes follows each and every movement of his.

"As you see, I am on my own will here. I am sorry, I had to act like falling in love with you to help my rogues here to attack the pack, but your pack isn't innocent too and they made me pay by every means," she shrugs casually, her voice monotone expressing no emotions. I nod my head slowly as I tell her to continue.

"Daniel here kept my people safe, and we rule side by side, his people and mine. He is the alpha and I am his luna," she says and continues saying something, but I couldn't here her anymore.

'Evan, you are at the far back correct?,' I ask him and he says yes within a second. Cool...this is gonna be fun then...
