Serving dinner was harder than it looked. A bunch of rowdy, drunk men sitting around a table took talent and grace to serve.

I almost hit a few men with the serving spoons a couple of times but nothing major happened over the first part of dinner.

Donte was seated at the head of the table, while all the other men were loud and boisterous, he was silent and composed, almost like he was watching everything I was doing. He had his hands crossed underneath his chin and was only wearing a navy dress shirt and grey pants to dinner, giving him a rougher look.

He seemed to be taking note of everything I was doing, adding pressure to make sure that I didn't screw up.

Once the main course was served, the servers were allowed to stand to the side of the table and talk quietly amongst themselves.

Adrian walked over to me and patted my shoulder.

"See, being a server isn't too bad," he joked, and I laughed. Adrian had a tended to be able to make me smile.

Me, Adrian and a few of the other servers stood around making idle small talk while the men ate dinner. I still did not completely understand what Donte's job entailed, why did he have all of these people here working for him?

Every once in a while I felt a pair of eyes on me and every time I looked up, there was Donte, eyes boring into me.

"Can I get you anything else, Don?" Maddie twirled her hair and asked Donte. Donte seemed unamused with her question and brushed her off with a wave of his hand.
