Three shots rang out and I watched as his lifeless body drops to the ground in front of me.
A shrill scream escaped me as I couldn't believe what I just witnessed.
"You're a monster," I screamed with tears running down my face.
"No baby girl, I'm th...

When I woke up my head was pounding. My arms were tied behind my back and I couldn't see where I was. It was pitch black and never in my life had I been so afraid. Donte killed Pauly right in front of me and had no remorse for his actions.
Where was I? Was I kidnapped? How am I getting out of here? Tears slowly started streaming down my face and I didn't know what to do? My arms were tied up and I was tied to a chair in a pitch-black room... there was no way I'm getting out of here.
"Somebody please help. Please?" I sobbed as tears ran down my face. I did not want to die down here but I was beginning to think that might happen. I felt like I was dying. My mouth started to crust at the sides because of how thirsty I was and at this point, I wasn't even hungry.
They say that you know you're dying when you aren't hungry or thirsty anymore. It means that slowly your organs are shutting down and you're close to death. There was so much in my life that I wanted to do. I couldn't picture my last moments down here.
Hours passed but it felt like days. I screamed until my throat was raw and my head felt like it was going to explode from crying. I don't know why Donte brought me here. We could have pretended that the whole Pauly thing never happened and I could go my own way.
That beautiful man was a killer and I didn't know how to cope with that. How could someone take the life of another without even flinching? He was beautiful but he was the devil. Under no circumstances was I talking again to that man. At this point, I'd rather him kill me than have to face him.
Suddenly I heard the rustling of keys. Someone was coming! Were they coming to save me? Was it Donte ready to finish the job he had started? I didn't want to say anything in case it was the latter.
I heard someone walking down the stairs and the light flickered on. I was met with the image of a man who was at least 6"2 and had blonde hair. He wasn't as attractive as Donte but I'm sure he had no problem finding women nonetheless.
"Ah, finally, you stopped screaming." The blonde man said with a heavy Italian accent. He began to circle around me, almost as if he was questioning what to do with me. The man came and brushed his hand against my cheek. I recoiled in disgust and tried turning away.
"I can finally tell the boss you're awake. Then he can decide what to do with you." The man smiled and then left back up the stairs.
Who was the boss and what was he going to do with me? Why were all the men here creepy and scary.
I heard voices faintly sounding from outside the room I was trapped in. The door opened again and I heard heavy steps come down the stairs.
Donte walked downstairs looking angry. I started to cry again at the realization that I was not getting out of here. There was no way Donte was letting me leave this room alive.
"Ah the princess is awake." Donte snarled and slowly dragged a chair over to sit in front of me. He flipped the chair and sat down on it so he was closer to me.
"I want you to tell me what you saw that night." Donte said calmly. He was looking straight at me and I tried looking anywhere but him, so I didn't need to meet his gaze.
I knew exactly what he was talking about, the night he killed Pauly. But maybe if I pretended that I didn't see or didn't remember what happened he would let me go.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said to Donte. I looked up at him and the expression on his face changed.
"So this is how we're going to play it." He let out a humourless chuckle. And stood up from his chair. He came up close to my face and I could feel his breath on mine. His face slowly moved from in front of me to my neck. For a split second, I thought he was going to kiss me.
"Don't lie to me! Tell me what you saw!" He screamed in my face. He was so close that I felt the spit from his mouth land on my face and I flinched.
"Nothing. I saw nothing. I didn't see anything I promise. And I would never say anything to anyone even if I did see something." I cried as tears streamed down and my face turned red.
Donte reached into his back pocket and took out his switchblade. He began twirling it around as he walked around me.
"Principessa, you saw what happened. You were in that alley that night and you saw exactly what I did and what I'm capable of." Donte boomed. He walked up closer to me and brought his switchblade up to my neck. I felt the blade press up against my skin and my heart began beating against my chest.
"I killed Pauly. I killed him and I could do the very same thing to you. I could kill you." He spoke. At that moment I was so scared that his hand would slip, and he would slit my neck. I didn't know what to do other than beg.
"Please don't. Please. I won't say a word to anyone." I begged as muffled sobs escaped me.
Donte removed the blade from my neck and went to go sit back on his chair. He pointed his finger and me and began nodding his head as if he was deep in thought.
"This is going to go one of three ways. I don't usually give options but I'm making an exception and you get to pick the outcome of this story. One, I make you a whore in one of my clubs." Donte spoke and I cringed at the thought. If that was my only option I would just rather he kill me.
"Two, I have you work for me." Donte continued, but I wasn't liking that option either. Knowing him he'd have me running drugs for him.
"Or three... I kill you. You decide." Donte finished and began twirling his knife in his hand. I didn't like any of the three options but I guess the only one that didn't include death or some painful torment was option two.
"What kind of work would I be doing for you?" I asked. If it was something extremely heinous I guess he would have to kill me.
"You would be a personal maid to me. Cleaning, serving meals. Attending to my every need." Donte said with a wry smile.
I thought it over for a moment and it didn't sound too bad. I would just have to clean and help cook some meals. I guess that's what I was doing.
"Okay I'll do it, I'll become a maid." I said with confidence in my voice. The blonde-haired man from before came and stood behind Donte.
"Luca, go show Miss. Thompson to her room." Donte commanded. ————————————————————— Hey everyone!
