I woke up to Reece lightly nudging my shoulder and rubbing my hair soothingly. I groaned, rubbing my eyes and straightening my neck out to try and get the pain of the semi-uncomfortable position to go away. I looked out the window and saw that we had arrived.
"How'd you sleep?" Reece asked, gathering the book and headphones he had on his lap into his backpack.
"Alright, did you get any sleep?" I asked, standing up as it was our turn to leave the train.
"Not really, the coffee I drank earlier kicked in and I couldn't stop thinking so I just pulled out my book and started reading." Reece followed me out of the train, throwing his backpack over his shoulder.
"I told you that was going to come back and bite you in the ass." I turned my head and smirked at him. The smirk was quickly wiped from my face when I went crashing into the person in front of me. Thankfully it was George but, unfortunately, my momentum sent George stumbling into the girl in front of him.
"I'm so sorry!" He exclaimed, his face turning a dark shade of red. "If my friend behind me would pay attention to where she was walking, I wouldn't have to worry about stumbling into beautiful girls like you." He said, giving me an annoyed look before quickly smiling at her.
"Smooth." I whispered to Reece, both of us laughing quietly.
The girl glared at George before picking up her purse that she had dropped. "Thanks for the compliment, but," she looked George up and down. "I have a boyfriend." She walked away down the aisle, leaving George a darker shade of red.
"Aw, it's alright buddy. You'll find a nice girl soon enough." I slung my arm around his shoulder but he just shrugged me off and kept walking. I frowned and turned to Reece. "Great, now he's mad at me."
Reece gave me a sad look. "He will be fine soon enough. Let's go before we annoy more people on this train." Reece nodded in the direction of the exit and I walked forward past the now empty seats. I made it to the exit and climbed down into the train station, letting the bustling sounds of it surround me. Reece grabbed my hand and swung it forward, pulling me towards the exit as he ran. I let out a shriek, smiling widely. Just as we were about to make it to the exit, Blake ran past with Leah on his shoulders, her hair flying all over the place. They were both laughing hysterically and I gave them a weird look as Reece and I came to a stop in front of them.
"Dammit, we lost." Reece said, a frown on his face.
"We were racing?" I asked him, glancing between all three of them.
"Don't look at me, Blake just asked if I wanted a piggy back ride and then started running." Leah said after climbing down off of Blake.
"I would have run faster if I knew we were racing." I punched Reece in the arm.
"Oww." He rubbed his arm where I hit him, giving me an annoyed look. "The rules were that who ever got here first without telling you or Leah won."
"So I figured it would be easier to carry you than explain why I was making you run." Blake said to Leah, moving a piece of her hair back into place.
"Don't worry." Reece leaned in and kissed the side of my head. "We will beat them at something at some point."
"Oooo, I know what we can beat them in." I smiled evilly, and Reece gave me an alarmed look. "A food eating contest!"
"Oh please," Leah adjusted her glasses before leaning her shoulder against Blake's. "Blake and I would destroy you both."
"I don't know about that." Reece said, placing an arm around my shoulders. "I've seen Ava taken in a lot of food before."
"Is that another fat joke? I've moved to England and learned your weird phrases, what more do I have to do to get away from these American stereotypes?" I looked at Reece, frowning.
"Maybe you could try talking with a British accent?" Blake suggested with a slight laugh.
"NO!" Reece and Leah said in unison.
Blake gave them both a confused look. "What? It can't be that bad."
"I have no idea what they're on about, my accent is incredible." I smirked, really laying it on thick. Reece just shook his head and Leah covered her ears dramatically.
"Never mind. I take it back. It can be that bad." Blake laughed and ran a hand through his hair.
"There you guys are. I've been looking for you for like ten minutes." I turned around to find George walking up to where the four of us were standing, his bag hanging loosely from one shoulder.
"We've been right here, mate. Ready to go to our new home?" Blake asked, looking around at all of us.
"I sure am. That hour nap was not enough for me." I started walking towards the exit, everyone following my lead.
"I second that." Reece said, grabbing my hand again as we walked. "My coffee is starting to wear off." He yawned and smiled at the same time, making an adorable face.
"I can't believe you guys were able to get us a flat in the same building as yours." Leah said excitedly, strolling up next to me with Blake on the other side of her. George stood at the other side of Blake. I tried to ignore the fact that he seemed to go as far away from me as possible.
"You know Ben. He's a magical man." Reece laughed at himself and I couldn't help but smile. I was so happy to have made the decision to come with them to London. I couldn't imagine my life any other way.
