Chapter 8: Hometree

It was early in the morning, Grace found a new link hidden away in the wall, she didn't tell Norm or Jake, she gave it to me, which was pretty nice of her, I heard her pestering Jake to eat, I didn't get a whole load of sleep, but I was quiet healthy, Jake seemed to be wasting away, I got in and closed the hidey-hole door, it even had its own oxygen system, I then closed the lid to the link and let my mind go blank.

I woke to have Tsu'tey's arms around my middle and my head resting on his arm and my back to his front,

"Good morning," I heard him say sleepily,

I turned so I could face him,

"Good morning to you too," I said smiling,

"We should go back to Hometree," he said,

I nodded my head agreeing, we got up and chased each other, half way there we found the boys and the Direhorses, and we decided to go for a ride with them.

We returned to the Tree of Voices only to find that it was all gone, I felt like someone had stabbed me in the heart, I looked to Tsu'tey, he had a hard face. A tear ran down my cheek, this was all Jake's fault!

We returned to Hometree, I had tears streaming down my face as we did this, but I didn't utter a single sound.

"Tsu'tey will lead the war party," Eytukan said,

Tsu'tey was happy about this, I, however, was not, I was worried out of my mind,

"Stop please," Grace said, making everyone quiet, "this will only make it worse,"

"You do not speak here," Tsu'tey said rudely, "We will strike them in the heart,"

I saw Neytiri and Jake make their way through the crowd holding hands, oh no, at least Tsu'tey and I had the brains to hide our relationship,

"Tsu'tey, don't do this," Jake said,

Tsu'tey walked forwards and handed his bow to someone,

"You!"

"Listen, brother," Jake tried to reason,

Tsu'tey pushed him to the ground,

"You mated with this women?" he was a good actor I'll tell you that, the only thing that betrayed him were his eyes, Jake saw this and looked at me, I nodded, knowing what he was asking,

"Oh shit" I heard Grace say,

"Is this true?" Mo'at asked her daughter,

"We are mated before Eywa, it is done," she said,

"Brother, please," Jake tried again, "Do not attack the skypeople"

I ran forward to Tsu'tey just as he pulled out his dagger,

"STOP!!!" I yelled,

Everyone stopped and looked at me, worry was clearly written on Tsu'tey's face, I turned to Jake with a hand on Tsu'tey,

"You- you are the biggest ASSHOLE I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF MEETING, why?" I was in tears, "Why didn't you just kill him?"

"What do you mean?" Jake gave me this look as if to say, don't-do-it,

"I heard you talking a few days ago to that man, I was listening," I walked up to him, "YOU SON OF A MUTT!! DON'T YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!?!? YOU HAVE DOOMED THEM TO DEATH IF THEY DO NOT LEAVE, and most of them will die, I hope you are happy, you did the man well, murderer,"

I walked away, but not before getting Tsu'tey's dagger and hurling it at him, it cut the side of his arm,

"Clarity! Clarity!" he ran up to me,
