The Present Part Four

"I remember when that happened! You stayed the night in the common room before going back to your room, we had a sleep over!" Patton said. Virgil smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, you're the only one who stayed with me." He said. Logan sighed and adjusted his glasses.
"I apologize for my suspicion on that night. I must say, that is the only time I have ever seen you angry before Virgil." He said. Patton nodded with a smile.
"Yes, you're very scary." Patton said. Virgil sighed.
"To be honest, I was more scared than anything when I was confronting that half snake." He said. He looked down in that moment.
"Why?" Logan asked.
"Because I was scared that being who I wanted and who I felt I truly was wasn't worth it. I felt like I'd just get into deeper trouble than I already was in. I didn't mean to be scary, I guess I was just passionate and angry" Virgil said. Logan looked to Patton.
"But you know now that's not true, right?" Patton asked. Virgil gave the moral side a small smile.
"Yes, I do. Thanks to all three of you." He said. Logan smiled with satisfaction.
"It's wonderful to know that you have learned from your past, and to have context on how you appeared at our literal doorstep, Virgil, but may I ask, why did you commit to a relationship with both Deceit and Remus back to back? You could have..." Logan pulled out his flashcards again. "Done so much better than that dirt."
"Logan, you are one fire with the cards today!" Patton exclaimed. Logan looked around in fear.
"I'm not on fire though, Patton." He said. Virgil rolled his eyes.
"Yes, because I had another side available at my disposal, Logan." He said. Logan sighed.
"Well, at least you don't have to worry about loving them anymore, considering the fact that you like Roman, who wouldn't actually hurt you!" Patton said. Virgil hushed him immediately.
"For the first time in forever, I must agree with Patton on that one, Roman may seem to dislike you but he is a romantic saint." Logan said. Patton gasped but Logan held up a finger. "No, literally, Saint Romanos was a melodist and died in Constantinople. Though he was Orthodox Christian and not Catholic, he shares many of the creative abilities that our Roman holds."
"Are you insane? He could be listening in right now!" Virgil snapped to Patton and Logan. With that there was a thump behind the two light sides on the floor, to which all three of them stared to.
Roman, with his fixed hair, polished sword and proud stature stood before them. He stared right into the eyes of Virgil, practically ignoring Patton and Logan as he went over to face him without there being two sides between them.
"I loved the Disney reference, Logan. It didn't go unnoticed." He said, continuing to look at the anxious side. Virgil gulped as Logan muttered in frustration to himself.
"H-How much did you see?" Virgil asked. His voice was small and quiet. Roman looked at him and smiled.
"Enough to realize that I was wrong." He said. Virgil looked up at him hopefully.
"Virgil, I apologize for not only being rude to you earlier, but for believing my brother and his stupid lies." He said. Virgil raised an eyebrow.
"Remus? What did he tell you?" He asked. Roman put his sword away and held his head in his hand.
