The evil twin

Chapter 2

" I knew you would come, so..I am correct aren't I?" A voice spoke behind Dan.

Dan turned around and stormed to that boy who was smiling at Dan.

"What happened to Liz? How did you know that Liz would have a power? Who are you?" Dan screamed at that boy.

That boy gave a sweet and innocent laugh and said calmly and pleasantly, "Firstly, you can call me Nate and well...for Liz, she has a wonderful power and it is that she can heal people, unless that person is dead, obviously. My best friend is the one who knew that Liz would have power. For how he did that..I don't have an answer but..if you want to know, come with me and my best friend would tell you..and you might also save Liz," Nate smiled and looked at Dan with his bright clear eyes.

Dan raised his eyebrows as if he does not believe Nate.

"It's your own choice."Nate added.

Dan hesitated, "I have to find out who Nate's friend is..and also why Liz has a power. There are so many reasons for me to go, but hardly any for me not to," he thought.

"Fine...don't try any tricks. I'm warning you..."Dan agreed.

Nate smiled and walked away not looking back to see if Dan is following.

" Liz, have you seen Dan?" Landon asked.

Liz shook her head and asked,"Nope, why?"

"Damm it...I was just trying to find Dan but I can't find him..to be honest, I am a bit worried for him..I just feel something, in my heart.."Landon was more worried than he was letting.

Dan was standing beside Nate in front of a dark grey coloured building. Beside him, Nate took out a key and entered a password of some sort. Dan was looking around and studying the surrounding. This building is not very big so it was pretty hidden with trees surrounding them.

"There you go...come, follow me." Nate walked into that building.

Dan hesitated for a second before following Nate into the building. Nate walked towards a door and looked back at Dan, "My best friend is in inside..let me warn you, don't try any tricks. Don't try to kill him."

Nate knocked on the door before entering and Dan's hand closed on his sword hung beside his jeans. Dan stepped into that room.

That room has its wall painted black and a lot of pictures on the wall. In the middle of the room, there is a chair on a boy probably about sixteen sat there with his back facing Dan.

"Lewis, I brought Dan here." Nate told the boy, Lewis. After saying that, Nate left the room leaving Dan with Lewis.

Lewis turned around and Dan gasped, Lewis looked exactly the sane as Dan.

"Yes...I am Lewis Carter and I am your brother. Your twin brother," He added before he stopped and looked over at Dan, Dan was stunned and was rooted to the spot and Lewis continued, "I was brought up by our mom, Evelyn, while you are brought up by our dad, Elton."

"Wait..I have a brother?.. I.."Dan stammered, lost for words.

"Let me explain...Dan, we were separated a few days after we were born. Our father..took us away but our mum came back for us but before she could take you away from our dad, he came back and almost killed our mum. Our mum was left with no choice and thats why she ran away. She tried all ways to save you from our dad because she knows what he is going do. He is going to use you to get something from Rafe..that's why he got you to be a demon slayer. Three years ago, our dad killed our mum and I killed him out of hatred, wait..let me finish. He cast a spell on me just before he died and all I need is for you to remove that spell and work together with me and in return, I will tell you how to save Liz." Lewis said.

Dan raised his eyebrows and asked pointing at Lewis , "Why should I believe you? You killed my father... you are a murderer!" Dan screamed.

"Because what I am saying is the truth, our father died three years ago because he killed our mother. It is his revenge, I'm just trying to tell you the truth and I hope you will believe me. You have already met Nate, he is my best friend and we work together with Zach and Chandler. We do the same thing as you, kill demons. These...are proofs, see..this is our mother and this is us..when we were born. I have spend all my life with my mum trying to find you but our dad hid you so well. Finally...I found you and I am asking you to remove the curse from me..and we will work together and rid the world of demons." Lewis smiled.

Dan did not know what to do, Lewis is definitely my brothers and my father did die three years ago, but can I trust Lewis? He killed my father, a demon slayer,isn't that against the law? But Dan thought of Liz, if I help Lewis, would he help him just like he promised? Or would he plot against him and let Liz die anyways? Dan thought

"Well?" Lewis was still smiling but Dan could sense that Lewis was getting impatient.

Dan narrowed his eyes, "Well..I just realised something..you still have not answered my question...or rather my questions..how did you know that Liz would have a power and why does she have those powers?"

Lewis did not show any expression and replied, "I will tell you the answer to those questions after you remove the curse. You help me and I will answer your questions, fair?"

Dan frowned, he did not think that is fair at all. Dam doesn't know why, but he don't trust Lewis and he was pretty sure Lewis will go back on his words. He made up his mind.

"I don't think that is fair at all, so..I'm sorry to disappoint you, Lewis." Although Dan wasn't sorry at all.

Dan could see from Lewis' eyes that he was very angry, furious actually. Lewis' eyes flared in anger and his face was red. He took a moment before he could cool down and speak, "So..your answer is no? Think wisely little brother.." Lewis said calmly and coldly.

Dan was taken aback as he thought Lewis would be furious and trying to kill Dan but he is calm and does not seems angry but Dan was pretty sure this is an act. Dan pretended to think for a while before saying, "Well..to be honest Lewis, I am not too wise so..yes, my answer is no.." Dan tried to keep a straight face.

Anger flashed in his eyes, he clenched his fist and closed his eyes, Dan was surprised when Lewis opened his eyes, his eyes were a bit orange and a bit red, just like fire.

He walked over to Lewis and said in a soft and sharp voice, "I am glad that you know that."

Dan suddenly felt something cold and hard slam into his head. He looked at Lewis just before he fall to the ground, Lewis was smiling and looks very happy. Dan tried to stay awake but he felt darkness swallowing him and the last thing he felt was Lewis walking past him with heavy footsteps.
