The evil twin

Chapter 7

Christopher has dark brown hair and has clear blue eyes, on the outside, he does not look like someone Dan knows but Christopher's eyes gave him away...his clear blue eyes glintered a bit in triumph and a bit of amusement.

If that Christopher is really Lewis...how can he change his looks?..Well..I guess I will never know what he could do...Dan thought.

"Dan? Dan?" A voice jerked Dan back to life, it was Liz.

Dan blinked and looked away from 'Christopher' and towards Liz. Liz is looking at Dan with questioning eyes and with puzzled expression. Dan could also feel the others eyes on him and he could feel himself turning red in embarrassment. "What?..." Dan asked innocently.

Landon narrowed his eyes and asked before Liz had a chance to speak, "Why are you staring at Christopher?"

"Christopher?" Dan scoffed, "He is not even..."

"Call me Chris instead..it's easier." Lewis interrupted and continued before Dan could speak, "Well..actually, I'm pretty tired and I would like to go back to my room and rest." Lewis smiled the smile that Dan hated so much, too much.

Dan could not hold back his anger any more and he lunged at Lewis, using all his strength and punched him in his face. Blood dripped down Lewis' mouth as he fall down onto the floor. He looked up at Dan with accusing eyes and pretended to tripped while he tried to stand up and Liz was staring at Dan with shocked expression and in disbelief.

"What the hell do you think you are doing Daniel Carter?" Liz asked Dan coldly and what creeped Dan out was how calm and soft she asked him, Dan felt a pang of regret filling in his heart as he thought of how he could explain to Liz. What hurt Dan even more was Liz turning to Lewis and asking him, "Are you okay Chris? You are bleeding..here.." Liz took out a tissue and helped Lewis clean away the blood near his mouth.

All regret Dan felt just now was washed away once he saw that, he screamed at Liz, letting his anger take over him, "He is not freaking Christopher!! He is Lewis!" Dan emphasised every single word.

Dan could see that Liz was shocked and stared at him with a stunned expression and Dan thought he succeeded but Liz's stunned expression turned into anger and Dan could see and feel her anger, her eyes blazing with fury. Liz looked like she wanted to walk out of the room but she stopped and turned to Dan and said words that hurt Dan so much...so much that he can't ever forgot them, "Are you just jealous?.. That Chris is so much better than you? In like almost everything? I can't believe you Daniel.." Liz shooked her head and walked out of the room slamming the door shut as she walked out.

Dan stood rooted to the spot in disbelief and he could feel the others staring at him so he ran out of the room with tears steaming down his cheeks.

Liz was in her room sitted on her bed and her fists were clenched tightly. Liz had only said those words out of anger and wondered if she had too far...she could never forget Dan's expression right after she said those words. Hurt, anger, sadness, flashed past his face as he looked at Liz in disbelief. Liz could feel a lump in her throat as she thought of all the time they spend together and now she had hurt Dan so much..

The door creaked opened and Liz looked up eagerly thinking it was Dan but it isn't, it is Lewis.

"Oh..." Liz tried to cover the disappointment in her voice, "Hey Chris, is there anything you need?"

Lewis' eyes glinted in amusement but grinned and replied, "Anything I need?" He mused, "Not really..but just want to ask if you are alright? And also..you are kidding right..about the I'm better at Dan thing?" Lewis laughed and asked casually.

"Haha.." Liz asked half-hearted but hesitated before asking, " Like on a serious note, why did Dan say that you are Lewis? Do you know Dan?"

Lewis could feel that Liz was getting suspicious but he still replied indifferently, " Lewis?.. I have no idea who is Lewis but...I do know Dan." Lewis stopped and looked at Liz who was looking at Lewis intently. "Before Dan became a demon slayer, we trained in the same school and he hated me to the guts..he tried all ways to beat me in fights..competitions but he never did..I didn't know he became a demon slayer..if not I won't ever come here...who is Lewis?"

Liz stared into space deeply in thought and she replied, "Lewis...is Dan's brother.."

Lewis looked at Liz and pretended to be surprised but Liz wasn't even looking at him. Lewis wanted Liz to believe him so he added, "Actually..Dan and I were best friends..sworn brothers..but we had a fight and we separated and after a while, Dan just quit..and I never saw him after that."

Liz looked up and asked a bit harshly, "And why are you telling me this? Dan did not even tell me.."

Lewis smiled, "I just want to be truthful to you..I don't like a relationship filled with lies...do you?"

Liz was stuck and she just sat there without saying anything. She turned away from Lewis and stared at the wall. Liz felt a hand on her shoulder and she turned in surprised, Lewis sat down beside her and said kindly, "I know Dan and you are best friends and are very close...but from the moment I lay my eyes on you..I think that you are what I was looking for all this time. Dan might hate me..but you should choose yourself..." Lewis' eyes sparkled as he said that.

Liz gasped in surprise as she turned and stare at Lewis, he is just milimeters away from Liz, so close that their shoulders are touching.

"You are exactly what I have been waiting for all this time as well Chris.." Liz whispered.

Liz pulled Lewis towards her and she could feel Lewis' soft and gentle lips on hers. She barely could feel herself being pressed onto the bed as she grabbed the back of Lewis' head. It has been ages since she had this kind of fun all until the door opened.
